Near & Far

I purchased a couple of floor rugs here over three years ago. They are easy to care for and clean and have been exactly what I needed. Prices were very reasonable. The owner was happy to pull out and spread the rugs (a task requiring some effort) until I found the appropriate ones . She's very nice to chat with and her shop is delightful. A real treasure trove of hand made and exotic goodies. I think even my husband, who isn't usually a shopper, enjoyed the experience.

glad i walked in and checked out the shop. apart from the cosy cute art-filled shop itself, what was great was the enjoyable conversation i had with the super friendly and lovely owner who was originally from france. we talked about countries, cultures, people and adventures. thanks for making me feel welcomed and thanks for the quick chat about beautiful scents of the soaps i bought. hope to see u again when i travel to cygnet nxt time!

I truly love this shop!!!!!! If I could I would move in. My favorite part of the day is a visit to near and far it delights all the senses.

This places smells strongly of the devils lettuce. I’m not sure if someone is smoking out the back or something but this shop absolutely reeks of 🍃 alright store apart from the stench

The shop owner of Near and Far desperately needs some perspective.

It was a hot day, and my husband had run into the supermarket to grab a few items. I stayed in the car with our two young children and the AC running.

She had the audacity to come out and say that the car running was “noise pollution” and when I told her that our two young children were in the car, her retort was “well it’s not the Sahara.”

It’s a small town Mrs Sahara, and we’re locals. I’d recommend not being so rude next time.
