A MUST STOP winery in the Barossa.
Absolutely fantastic, unique and wonderful winery. Kris ran us through a free tasting of their 10 wines. She did a fantastic job and was very knowledgeable, friendly and kind.
The winery itself was beautiful, we were there in May so couldn’t see everything functioning. However, come from on Feb-April and you will see it all in full working order. It’s incredible. The old buildings and autum leaves were INCREIDBLE.
All their wine was delicious and we ended up buying a few bottles!

If you in Barossa you Must visit this Gem! Staff is very helpfull, friendlyand they know about their wines! They have about 11 wines to taste and best amazing thing is their wine tasting is complementary!! Good location for photos with all the autumn colors and old buildings! We ended up buying 3 different wines and we LOVE their 2019 Shraz VP!!

A great tasting experience with a passionate team in a beautiful location. We tried 11 wines and all were thoroughly explained and we were not rushed or overwhelmed. The setting is wonderful with the cellar door in the original buildings adjacent the winery and associated buildings. Good pricing of some exceptional wines also to take a souvenir home.

Love this little gem of a winery. It’s like you are transported back in time. Such a cool place with very cool staff working there. Everyone is so friendly and love to share the history of Rockford wines with you. The wine is spectacular and every glass just gets better and better. Stand out for me was the sparkling Shiraz, which I was able to purchase on the way out.

Hands down the best wine tasting experience in Barossa Valley. Walked in without a clue about what we should try. We were greet with very friendly and welcoming staff. Prompts to Atonia (sorry if I butchered your name), who was extremely helpful in guiding us to finding best wine that suited to each of our tastes. Aside from the interesting back stories of each bottles, the brewing processes were also explained in a simple yet fun way.
Even though the wine tasting was complementary, and the staffs were not pushy at all about making a purchase. We walked away with 12 bottles of wine and were very pleased that we decided to take a trip to this niche winery in Barossa. :)

Lisa was simply phenomenal, truely amazing & knowledgable host who made our wine tasting experience one of the best we have ever had.
Selection of their wines is highly recommended if you want real Barossa Valley wine tasting experience.

It was an amazing experience! We had a fantastic moment in wine tasting over there! Their wine is amazing! So tasty…. They have the most welcoming staff… we enjoyed our time there… their private explanation was such a good idea… we tasted 11 different wines… they have a niche market in Australia but we are so glad to have had such a good experience!

As always, an absolute delight. Greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality, eagerly sharing their knowledge and passion for their wines.

Not only were the wines exceptional, but the atmosphere was also inviting and relaxed. It was evident that this winery takes pride in providing a truly authentic experience for its customers. Whether you're a wine aficionado or a casual enthusiast, this winery is a must-visit.

Hands down the best tasting experience we've had on our tour of the Clare and Barossa. Lovely staff, gorgeous property and amazing old fashioned method of producing wines occurring before your eyes.

As a long term fan and purchaser of Rockford wines, we took the opportunity to take some good friends here from the UK to Rockford's Stone Wall Club area yesterday. We were hosted by John - what a host! His knowledge of not only the local wines, but of European wines entertained and informed us over our visit. His enthusiasm rubbed off on us all. He is a wonderful credit to Rockford Wine. Thank you

We did the wine tasting inside a little cottage. The old style build and the burning wood fire added warm to a cold and rainy day and some character to the ambience.

The wine was good, I’m a red drinker but I preferred their white over some of the red. The Shiraz and the sparkling red weren’t ready for sale, so I was a little disappointed.

The guy who ran the tasting was so passionate about their brand and wine. He is also very knowledgeable about wine making process. We threw him some curved questions and he had no issue answering them.

I hope it would be a sunny day when I visit next time.

Lovely cellar door experience. Huge selection to taste with most of their classics available. Sparkling shiraz is still a favourite.

Rockford Stonewall Lunch is all it is stacked up to be. Some incredible food paired with arguably the best wine in the Barossa. We sworn to maintain the secrecy of the food served and not share the food photos on social media. So these shots exclude any of the menu.

I tried Rockford’s Frontignac wine first at a small Italian restaurant in Adelaide and the wine so impressed, I contacted the winery then directly. Their 2021 vintage had sold out, but they would let me know when the 2022 was released - and they did. Twice! Such good customer service! I kept them in mind for when I’d finished some of the wine I already had. And then, my daughter resolved to take me there to their winery for my birthday treat. We spent a wonderful day in and around Tanunda region and went to two wineries for tastings. Rockford was the one indeed that impressed. Firstly, their physical situation is just gorgeous… on Krondorf Rd, in Tanunda. Then, their customer service is knock you down amazing and I mean actually amazing. Greeted directly as you arrive, you are communicated with at every point if you need to wait a bit (Covid) outside. The communication is polite, friendly, sincere and with humour. The courtyard outside the wine tasting room is rustic and vintage (pun intended!) so it’s not a hard wait anyway, as you enjoy the charm and magnificent views surrounding the winery. The server handling our wine tasting was delightful… both funny and knowledgeable. She cracked an ‘airconditioning’ joke when we arrived. It was installed in 1850 and works well to this day, maintenance free. Well, they had my Frontignac. So I received two bottles for my birthday and I went for a bottle of their Alicante Bouchet (light red), for my daughter in Sydney to enjoy. Great wine for a barbecue. All of the other good mentions aside, Rockford also don’t charge for their wine tasting unlike the other winery we attended in Tanunda. I loved this little winery and had such a fun time there; I left with some of their delicious Frontignac wine (appeal to appreciators of German style wines) and really enjoyed their other wine too. The Sparkling Black Shiraz is special and should be drunk at special occasions or on a Wednesday, if you’re not getting past hump day well enough after work? A very special tipple as well as the Fronti. The Sparkling Black Shiraz, the (oft) aforementioned Frontignac and the Alicante Bouchet, I would have to say were my favourites. But why don’t you discover for yourself, and make it a treat going to Rockford Winery for a day outing? We did.

Really good tasting experience which is free. Not all wines available already so did not get to try the basket press. Their other wines are average but the sparkling shiraz was great.

An absolute amazing experience. Not at all like the commercial wineries. So personal and warm. Staff are incredible. The guy who took us for wine tasting was absolutely brilliant. We were greeted by the wonderful hostess, even though they were so busy, they made a plan for us. A must, if you are in the Barossa.
