Wow wow wow! Two Kangaroo Island ladies, absolutely loved the large serve of Kangaroo Island King George whiting. The view from the dining room was spectacular, even the toilets had a view. The attention to detail of the food presentation was perfect. The prices were very reasonable.
Awesome service with no complaints at all. This is a five star restaurant at hotel prices. Book in early to secure a table.

Had a romantic dinner for two. Had a fantastic indoor table. The food was amazing. The chef is so fantastic, the whole kitchen staff clearly love their work and it shows. The gnocchi was to die for and the squid was so tender and delicious. All the wait staff were so friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. 5 stars isn’t enough.

Another great, albeit pricey, location for lunch. Overlooking the beach and all the way to Antarctica.

The staff were delightful and friendly. Food was lovely, with the room being a little austere but still nice. I am an austere kind of guy (I am told!).

What an enormous wine list, didn't think this style continued to exist but when in the wine region of SA, who to leave out? Plus quite a few 'foreign' friends. Wine is not cheap here!

The Star of Greece was a perfect choice for lunch! Situated above the beach, the restaurant offers excellent ocean views. The ambiance is beautiful. The food was also excellent. I had the wagyu rump, and it was perfect. The staff was extremely friendly and polite. Parking is available right next to the restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation in advance.

So lucky to have had the best weather to enjoy the incredible view with a beautiful lunch ! Our waiter was kind and very friendly service !! Calamari , lobster tail, grilled fish, scallops; all delicious!! Thank you 🤩

Absolute perfection! Beautiful location overlooking the beach and amazing food.

We had an intimate reception here after our daughter was married on the beach and it was a perfect day.

First time in SA, coming from France 🇫🇷, a friend living in Adelaide recommended Star of Greece and I have to say it was a fantastic experience. Stunning view, we enjoyed un amazing lunch on the terrace with superb food and nice wines. This moment will remain in my mind. Strongly recommend

Finally! After first trying to eat here on our way back to Melb after a stay on Kangaroo Island about 5 yrs ago, we booked in for lunch, flew over and stayed local. It was well worth it. The location is stunning. The ambience of the building is as comfortable as you can get. The food/drink options are amazing. The service is exemplary. The knowledge of the staff is comprehensive. The quality of food and wines matched everything else. My partner and I went with starters (scallop w miso butter & sweet corn purée, zucchini flower and goats cheese), we both had King George whiting w hand cut chips & salad. For desserts my partner had coconut infused tapioca pudding w berries, I went with the peanut butter parfait. Yum. We washed everything down with perfectly matched wines, chosen in consultation with staff. I would highly recommend booking and dining here at least once in a lifetime.

We had the pleasure of attending here for dinner in celebration of our 30 year anniversary. Our son, in his power wheelchair, also attended and the was plenty of room for him to manoeuvre.

For entree, we shared the Roast lobster tail, anchovy butter, sauce gribiche, kipfler chips and Salt & pepper squid, sesame, nori, spring onion aioli. It was delicious. So delicious that I actually forgot to take pictures. These will not disappoint you.

For mains, Pan roasted Kingfish, lobster bisque, potato puree, prawn tortellini, dill, and the Green tea smoked duck breast, laksa sauce, lychees, egg noodles, pickled carrot, snow pea, crispy shallots, coriander and the 250g 8+ Wagyu Rump, sauce soubise, duck fat violet potatoes, braised lentils, chorizo salsa, jus. The portion sizes were ample and the taste was glorious. These I did photograph. Paired with this was a half bottle of a beautifully sweet Italian moscato. Quickly after that was a very sweet Dark Chocolate and banana ice cream cake, salted caramel, popcorn, an affogato and two lattes. All this for under $300 and well worth it. In the past, have paid much more for far less.

The Star of Greece has an excellent reputation and well deserved. Great food, magnificent wine list, relaxed atmosphere and prompt friendly service. We weren't disappointed and you won't be either.

My wife and I had an amazing 3 course meal here tonight. Food was delicious service was good and atmosphere was great and finished off with a lovely sunset . Keep up the good work.

What a difference a year makes! Last year I rated the takeaway component of this restaurant as 2 star. This year we visited the newly renovated main restaurant for my wife's birthday, and in stark contrast to last year's experience, it was superb! The service was exemplary, with all staff helpful and cheerful. The food was delicious. I could have chosen any item from the menu and been confident I would enjoy it. As it was, the roast pork belly and bug tail was tasty, with crispy skin on the pork and lovely sides. The king george whiting was excellent, as was the gnocchi. A word of caution - the mains are generous in size. Only big eaters would want an entree and/or desert as well, and there is hardly any need for sides. A good selection of wines supported the food, as did the chef's complimentary starter and the birthday candle on my wife's desert. Well done to the whole team!!

Had such a special lunch at this iconic restaurant on the south coast of Adelaide.
Beautiful fresh local produce, prepared with the upmost respect overlooking world beating views.

Came here as part of a function (Indian Pacific excursion)

The food was cooked well, had great and different flavours (eg chilli oil and 'rice cake' on nicely cooked steak).

Food came out together, no one at a table was waiting long. The vegetarian options looked like proper choices not just leftover

While the wine offered was extremely drinkable the non wine, water options were not clear.

One of the best restaurants in South Australia. Many, many times I have tried to get there and finally did. Fantastic food, fantastic place.

Incredibly tasty and delightful experience. The food was all spectacular and the service was amazing too!

Our experience at this place was simply delightful! The meals were enjoyable, the wine was exquisite, and the variety of gins was heavenly. The beautiful view of the calming blue ocean, where you could even see the bottom meeting the shoreline, added to the overall charm.

To top it off, witnessing dolphins dancing in the distance among the reef was a magical moment. We highly recommend this spot for its fantastic food, drinks, and the mesmerizing atmosphere. It's a place where great memories are made, and we can't wait to return for another wonderful experience.

Worst thing about this place was being able to get a booking, make sure you book in advance. Great experience otherwise, food was fantastic and decent serving sizes. Service was attentive. Extensive wine list. Ocean views were amazing as well. Would recommend

First of all my husband thought he had booked on-line 🙄 for 2pm.We got there early but there was no booking made but we were told to wait around and squeeze us in at 2 15pm. There is a kiosk outside so we ordered a drink while waiting.
Then a waitress came out looking for us and said a table was ready so went in at 1.45pm.
The service was fantastic as well as the food . Amazing ocean view. Will definitely come again, could not fault anything. Well done all who worked that day.
