Shack Bay has it all!
The rock formations and surrounding cliffs instantly attract the eye as you head down the wooden stairs. The view of Eagles Nest in particular is a feature.
There are numerous rockpools amongst the tessellated rock formation near the shore to keep children and adults entertained for hours.
Soak up the sun, enjoy a book or just watch people making the most of this tranquil location.
You could easily spend half the day here.
Definitely worth a visit when you are in the area.

Absolutely beautiful little spot for the family. The rock pools are fantastic to explore with plenty of sea life. We had the luck of seeing a couple of stingrays as the tide was moving out in the evening.

An amazing area to explore at low tide. Amazing rock formations and plenty to explore. Heaps of interesting life in the rock pools for the kids to explore. And you can walk for kilometres either side of shack bay exploring the rocks. A must see stop on the drive from Inverloch to Cape Paterson

Love the place. A must visit spot at Inverloch. Had a pleasant time sitting on the stones when the cold water caressing our feet. Kids will have lot of fun playing around naturally formed potholes on these rocks.

My favourite spot for rockpools along the coast. The beach is great for picnics too. It's not as crowded as Eagles Nest or The Caves.

Shack Bay with the tide out is the best time to explore, lots of beautiful rock pools coast line to take it. Soak in the fresh salt water air and explore everything nature has to offer.

This beach is proposed for families with kids ranging between 4 up to 9 ;)
Tide deviation in each day makes a beautiful scientific site for kids. The kids can observe small sea animals in water on the rocks.

An amazing small and quiet beach. Just heads up you have to go down some stairs and no tree shade bring a beach umbrella. A few rock pools to look at which makes a trip to the beach more interesting :)

An awesome protected bay with a clean beach, an interesting rock shelf with rock pools and cliffs faces. If you look across you can see eagles nest which looks like the top half of the map of Australia.

Beautiful quiet serene nook with a veiw of eagles nest. Parking area at the top. About 40 stairs to bottom. At low tide can walk along the rocks. No toilets so go before you leave for this beautiful destination. No bins so take your rubbish with you. Beautiful creek runs into the ocean. Nice look out.
Definately a place to come check out 👌

Great for a rockpool walk on low tide, or a swim on the higher tides. Legend has it that calamari can also be caught off the rocks here but be careful.
