Red Chief Motel

A quiet location for a good night's sleep.
The check-in process was effortless and easy, especially as it was a last-minute booking. Being only a 5 min walk from the local pubs, it's a great place to be able to have a good dinner and return without the stress of distance. The room was well priced and very comfortable, as well as the wonderful in-house menu if you're staying more than overnight.

I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for somewhere quiet to get some rest while travelling or visiting.

Amazing place excellent service and the best mattress I’ve ever slept on in a motel

Comfortable clean room which was just what I needed after a full days driving. Ray was accommodating and friendly. The best was the after stay service, when it was no trouble at all for Ray to post me my treasured pillow that I accidentally left behind. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for your excellent service.

Late night check in for 75 75yr old pensioner, room warm on arrival and Ray put cases in room. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone so kind and helpful. Extended my stay 2 days. Five stars 🌟 for beautiful pillows. Great walking proximity for shopping 🛍

Basic traditional motel accommodation but clean, comfortable and at a good price. Ray was very obliging and friendly. Happy to stay there again.

Great little motel to stop in on my way through to QLD, great service and a great price! room was clean and bed comfy, Ray who is the onsite manager was lovely and very helpful :) if you're stopping by Gunnedah would recommend this motel.

I stayed at the Red Chief Motel with my 5 month old. The room was so well priced, very clean and comfortable. The owner/manager was fantastic. I’ll stay again every time I’m back in Gunnedah.

Friendly hosts. Room was very clean and tidy. Very comfortable, no noises from passing traffic. We will definitely stay at this motel again.

We make regular trips to the area and this is our go to overnight stop after an 8 hour trip. We always get friendly service, clean facilities and rooms as well as safe private parking spaces at a really good rate/price.

Its a Motel and so it provided all that i required for a short stay.
