One of the best seafood fine dining experiences in Melbourne.

We opted for “feed me” menu which was chef’s recommendation (thank you Andrew) and it was an outstanding experience. We had 8 courses + dessert at the end, and we could barely eat it all. I didn’t manage to take photos of all of them because I couldn’t wait to start eating.

Each meal was a new surprise, and it is no wonder that Casalinga won an award for The Best Seafood Restaurant in Eastern Suburbs in 2024. In addition to the great food quality the service was brilliant too - we got info on each meal prior to eating it.
I had a special request for seafood to be well prepared because I was 8,5 months pregnant, which was fully respected.

Food was delicious! Prices were reasonable. Shout out to the only waiter serving. He was not only serving, but also doing the drinks, telephone and payments. I noticed one patron was not overly pleased with the lengthy wait for her wine and found her to be quite rude. I totally understand how tough it is to find staff and was happy to wait. Overall the food was worth it and will be back to try more of the menu.

Always consistent throughout multiple years coming, many Birthdays & Milestone life events were spent in this restaurant.

Most night are quite busy 7pm
Best recommend to call up prior so you are not disappointed.

The extensive menu was a bit daunting at first with so many choices. However each meal was described fully and covered many tastes and dietary requirements. I was impressed that so many meals were GF and delicious. The portions and prices were reasonable.
The service was good and the staff were friendly.
Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos but the food was very well presented.
Definitely a go to for special occasions.

Outstanding evening with excellent ambience and delicious food. Our server was very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend the shared platters for starters and signature dishes. Cocktails and Mocktails were divine. We had a lovely evening celebrating.

Yummy food, a little bit pricey. We had to use salt to lift the flavour to where it needed to be. We had a table of 10 people. Some mains were really large, others were smaller. Has a kids menu, which was handy. I had the house made gnocchi, which was very tasty. Pictured is the vegetarian plate, vegetarian lasagne and the house made gnocchi.

The best Italian food we have had in a while. This place was amazing!

The waitstaff taking care of our table was the good. The meal is delicious and well decorated. Definitely coming back again.

Beautiful place, very clean look, friendly staff. Food was great. I tried marinara, chicken avocado and boloniese, well I liked all three but I'm seafood lover so marinara won. Glass of good wine on top and coffee. BTW nice capuchino. Price wise not bad. If you want to save, they offer lunch for $14.99,very cheap and good selection. I almost order lamb from that selection, there is always next time and I'll be back for sure. Another good thing - the place was quiet, music just right, not so loud that you can't here your neighbour. So we had a very pleasant experience today. Again, another place I can go back any time for lunch or dinner.

This is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is always so good, service is excellent and the ambiance is lovely. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice place to eat out.

We have enjoyed dining at Casalingo’s a number of times over the past 12 months and I feel bad about not leaving a review earlier so here goes.

The customer service is always exceptional. No complaints whatsoever ❤

Meal sizes are very generous and absolutely delicious especially the homemade pasta which we love….yummm 🍝

Atmosphere is romantic with a candle at every table. Very relaxed ambience and even the kids who dine with their families are well behaved and quiet 🤫

Tip: If you’re too full for dessert, get it takeaway and take it back to your accommodation (aka love nest) for laters 🍰 highly recommend the tiramisu

The food here was exquisite. We chose a variety if dishes and they were absolutely delicious. The fish of the day, Barramundi was cooked to perfection. The carbonara, saussage penne pasta and chicken risotto were all delicious. Not over priced. The interior design was stylish and set an nice ambiance. The custoner service was also fantastic.

Ever since we celebrated a family Christmas meal at this beautiful restaurant, enjoying the home cooked meal, accommodating staff and the ambiance of the place with the added bonus of not having to do the dishes for a change. For several years now, it’s been our family tradition for my birthday and even my family’s birthdays and special occasions choice of dinner celebratory meal.

With the current situation of 2020 covid restrictions we took advantage of their home delivery service tonight. (Unfortunately the rest of our family couldn’t join us)
Today is my birthday (1st September) I enjoyed my favourite, the seafood marinara with fettuccine pasta in tomato sauce and a side of chips.
Mum had the fish and chips with a side salad. Both generous portions, just as fresh and hot as if we were dining in! (I plated up for the photos) Their customer service is as always, impeccable. Another great birthday dinner, thanks.

Loved their seafood platter, it was superb! They have a wonderful selection of food and wine, though we couldn’t look past their seafood platter. Beautiful flavours and cooked to perfection. Despite there being a shortage of staff, their waiter was very attentive and polite. Chef catered to all my needs as I’m pregnant, everything was top notch.

Food was brilliant. A little short staffed but isn't everywhere at present. Staff friendly , helpful and courteous. Will go back!

Definitely the best food available for miles. Every meal we have had here is like a private work of art. The chef is incredibly precise, flavours are sensational. Meal prices are the same as everywhere else expect the quality is outstanding and you get great service every time. There is always a little something special on the menu. Well done to the brilliant chef and the team. Can’t wait for our next visit! Thank you!

Delicious bread, the Irrewara Casalinga (Italian for housewife) sourdough is stocked at our local McCoppins supermarket and a favorite amongst our family of 6. It’s clearly a quality bakery, with a great story - excellent as toast with avocado and eggs for breakfast, as ham cheese and tomato for kids, or just on its own with butter, honey or jam 😋

Very good food. It was a Sunday night and regrettably, very quiet, which was a pity. They deserve better. A good choice for slightly more up market food. Good to see they were getting takeaway orders.
