A little gem in Croydon. Having spent 3 weeks in Myanmar [Burma] and enjoyed some of the best food in Asia we just had to try Malihka. Green Tea Salad was fantastic, the beef and pork curries to die for and the special fried rice just the best we have had for a long time. Add a modern and super clean restaurant with wonderfull staff and great food “ You are on a winner”

This is our first time trying Burmese food. The staffs are very friendly, patiently explained the menu and the Burmese culture to us. Their food is so yummy and fresh. Highly recommend their tea leaves salad and the fried pork with pickled mustard leaves. We will definitely go back and try their whole barramundi and other dishes.

Another first timer trying out Burmese cuisine. Absolutely lovely food the fish cake starter was so refreshing. Noodle soup was spot on and the Pork with mustard leaves was beautiful. Will be going again soon to try some more new dishes. Great service as well

I haven't been able to find Nan Gyi Thoke anywhere in Melbourne and I finally found it here, yayyyy!!!

缅甸式餐厅,有地道风味,有家的感觉👍🏻👍🏻

Awesome Burmese restaurant in Croydon. The staff are always warm, sincere and polite. The food range is amazing.

Especially the range of noodles, is a foodie's delight, I thought I've already tasted my fair share of noodles coming from Singapore myself. I think there are more than 10 noodle dishes and I'm gradually working my way through each one. I've tried no. 15, 14, 13 so far. All delicious.

No. 25 the Malar fish is also highly recommended. The sauce used is soo tasty!!!

Never had food from Myanmar before, but this was great. I went with three friends from China. We ordered two soup noodles, fried noodles, and a chicken curry style to share. So delicious. Good service. Great prices.

The best local food. I think not that many people know about their food that’s why there are not many customers. What a shame. Their tofu salad is so good and I miss it if I do not eat it after several weeks. All different kinds of noodles and rice are so good. Customer service is also very good. I hope more people could go to try this restaurant. It deserves more attention.

First time having Burmese cuisine and it went above our expectations. Staff recommended the tea leaf salad, tamarind barramundi and slow cooked beef. All dishes were delicious - different, but with great flavours and textures. Staff were super friendly, helpful and attentive. Restaurant was clean, modern and spacious. After eating here we have already told our family about this place and wanting to bring them here. We highly recommend and will definitely be back to support this great local business!

I often give 5 stars because I love to support places that deserve it. But let me tell you this place right here is reduculous. I'd never had Burmese before, I bet you haven't either. I'm so sad I'm moving to Qld tomorrow because I've only gotten to eat here twice and both times I've had mind blown with food I didn't know existed, I've spent 3 years in kitchens and love food so it's a big deal when I don't recognise virtually anything on the menu. Thai place is worth travelling for and if you live in the area try a few things on the menu. I've had beef curry , pickled mango salad, green tea salad ( which I have to say was truely different, not for me haha) fermented fish paste nfried noodles and a few sides and everything, bar the green tea salad was chef hat worthy. Come on down and try this place. It should be pumping with how good the food is

Authentic and delicious Burmese cuisine. First place we've seen in Australia that has dishes like Nang Gyi Thoke. Burmese food is very varied and well worth trying, the food is quite different to their neighbours, but still has some similar flavours. Go now.

Never had Burmese before today and after tasting the food from this restaurant has me converted. Tasty, Fresh. I can't wait to work my way through the menu even challenging myself to menu items a little out of the ordinary. I wish this restaurant the great success it deserves. Thank you for opening my eyes to this wonderful new experience.

Wow, Wow, Wow!!!!!

Such a lovely “hidden” gem with an absolutely delightful new cuisine experience. I’ve tried many foods from around the world and in this occasion was looking for an “Asian style” soup with a decent spicy kick and great flavour.

Malihka delivered exactly what I was after and more!!!! I had the “Wet Chin Set Khauk Swè”. It was beautifully presented, a very large serving and as promised by the Nai, it was full of flavour, spicy and filling!

The menu is lovely and balanced and prices are extremely reasonable.

As others have said about the menu, it is now my intention to “work my way” through the entire menu.

This is a MUST visit and dine at restaurant in my opinion.

Well done to the owners, you have created a lovely, wonderful dining experience. You will definitely see me return to sample all of your menu.

Ordered Kyay Oh (pork balls) and Mandalay Meeshay for dinner on Friday. Total 28.80 AUD.

The Kyay Oh's soup was a simple pork broth with a meaty taste. The meatballs were soft and complement the vermicelli well. The rice vermicelli were extremely flavorful and had an excellent texture. The dish was simply AMAZING!

The Mandalay Meeshay was a party of tastes and different textures that complement each other very well. The rice noodles were soft and cooked perfectly. The sauce goes amazingly well with the noodles and the meat. The bits of pork crackling give an exciting crunch.

There is no surcharge for Card payments. Probably the only downside was the waiting time; had to wait for more than 15 minutes for the food to be served after order is taken. The dishes were amazing after all, totally worth the wait!!

These guys do a really good job of legitimate Burmese food, many of the dishes are commonly found in Yangon as well as other cities.
These guys do a great job of Shan noodle, origibating from Shan state in Myanmar, a relatively simple noodle dish with a lightly curried chicken served with a broth with herbs.
Mohinga is also sometimes available upon request. Mohinga is considered Myanmas national dish, and is a noddle and broth dish with a fish based stock, greens, banana stem, and crispy fried lentil cracker. Malihka do a great job of this dish.
The crispy fried chicken wings were also fantastic, they cone with a very tasty dipping sauce filled with herbs and thinly sliced red cabbage and carrot. The fresh crispy wings and Asian style sauce was brilliant. Next time I'll get 2 servings of the wings ;).
