Australia Post - Mount Waverley Business Centre

A surprising bright spot of a AUS Post Office. Staff were proactive in explaining overseas pricing levels / delivery SLAs and which would work best for the items I was needing to send home for a surprise 75th birthday party I was not able to attend in Sep 2020 (due to our Pandemic / COVID lockdown).

They repeated this level of personal care and consideration for 4+ other customers who were ahead or behind me in the queue. I was able to listen to the interactions while I was browsing the “as seen on TV” section of the store.

I found a perfect sized Bedside caddy for our master bedrooms TV, stereo, Fetch Mini, Apple TV, Amazon Fire Cube, PS5 and XBox remotes AND game controllers (with cable mgmt to help keep the game controller charged while resting in the caddy). $29 was a reasonable price - and I should have picked up a few more for our guest bedrooms as well as gifts for some of my fellow techno mates (they no longer sell, and I can’t find any online, Amazon, FB Marketplace, GumTree, eBay, Shein nor even Temu!

Personally never had a bad experience at this AusPost branch.
I do share the frustration with some other reviewers on the attempted deliveries being made before they come here -- I think the system is lacking on clarity as to what can or cannot be left at the door.

Haven’t had any issues picking up parcels here. Staff are always friendly and efficient even checking what other parcels I need to collect so I can collect them all in one visit (as sometimes I forget what I have collected or not).

I don't understand why there's a 1.8 star rating for this place, because I've never had an issue.
I think there was one time I had a parcel delivered damaged and a bit of the spine of a book was damaged because of it. But it was still readable.

As I was saying. Delivery is relatively quick. If nobody is home, I always get a notification and come down to the warehouse.
The hours to pick up your package are fine, and the window to pick it up is generous. If you're on holiday then they will extend it.
The staff are quick and friendly and I've always managed to pick up anything from Both sized boxes to book sized.

Regularly go here to post and collect items. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Our local parcel delivery driver has almost become a family friend he is here so often. He's brillant. Also I picked up a parcel today from the notting hill ctre. Communication was top notch. The parcel contained expensive wine and I was anxious about it as I was overseas when it was sent to me. Picked it up today no problems and the staff was very friendly. Thanks.

In 15 years of having parcels delivered / picked up from Mt Waverley Business Centre I've never had any problems. Sometimes things do go astray but staff have always found a way to sort things out eventually.

For all the people who unashamedly leaving negative feedbacks, I suggest you put yourself in their shoes before posting. Think about it - the staff are on their feet for 8 hours a day sorting through thousands of parcels each day, often in freezing cold or stinking hot warehouse environment, therefore it is natural they get a bit frazzled now and then. Just because you have to wait a bit longer or come back a day after to pick up an item doesn't mean it is end of your world. Remember, without Australia Post staff, we will all end up paying a whole lot more in deliveries fees for all the online purchases we make.

Leaving negative feedback just for sake of a whinge is not helpful. We'll all be much worse off if Australian Post decides to close off this branch because of our petty impatience & keyboard warrior attitudes. Without Mount Waverley Post Centre, our next option is out in Dandenong dispatch centre - Try driving there next time during peak hour to pick up your instant gratification eBay purchase.

Be considerate. We need them more than they need you.

Quick and fast services for parcels pick up. I never have any problems here. These staffs deserved a big pat on their shoulders for trying their best to accommodate everyone n delivery services during this hard time. Please show some gratitude and appreciation as we all know AusPost hv tried their best to post and deliver our goods ASAP 🙏

Had a good experience here with a parcel pickup. My parcel was not out the front and the staff member on the counter, Sharon, went out and found it in the actual mail centre.

So credit where credits due, she certainly didn't have to do that and it saved me from wasting my trip :)

So surprised to read so many bad feedbacks about this place. But I also realised that how we tend to express the negative experiences way more than the good ones.

I had some inconvenient experiences as well, but I am aware that most of the cases are due to the Australian Post’s system, not the people who work there nor the delivery fellows.

Most of them work so hard, and yet underappreciated; especially this Christmas time of the year, they are under so many pressure that so many of us don’t understand nor care to know. But, if you paid attention, you would know.

They have to follow the system and the rules, they are doing their job, just like many of us have to at our workplaces.

I had to send a parcel to Sydney and it was my first time doing it. The old man working at the counter was really helpful and probably the friendliest person I have met in a long time.

The service provided was good, as it only took a few minutes, and the staff members were courteous and accommodating.

Always fast and nice customer service, haven't had a problem before. Both collection points and Auspost there are great.

More business focus environment. Stilk public can come do there drop of mails. Has business customer focus products to sell. Staff is always busy but wilk try there best to helo you out. Great service.

I collect here all the time, sometimes the windows have two working each line goes quick and the are very friendly and have gone out of there way to find parcels

This place can be challenging to find as it's about 40 metres off Gilby Rd and poorly signed. During COVID they are as efficient as they can be. They follow all the protocols effectively and efficiently.

Have been sent here a number of times to get packages. Never any issues and always reasonably quick.
