Headstart Early Learning Centre Croydon

Beautiful childcare. My child has been going for over a year now. After transitioning from another childcare I was anxious, but the staff are amazing which quickly eased my worries. My child loves going and we could not be happier. The communication and professionalism is outstanding.

My son has been attending Headstart for over a year now and is absolutely thriving. He is so excited every morning to go and I know he is in safe, loving hands. Each week he is learning so much thanks to the effort of the educators at Headstart. My son has allergies and the staff have gone above and beyond to accomodate him and ensure he is safe.
Would recommend to any friends or family, I can’t speak highly enough. Thanks Headstart! ❤

LOVE LOVE LOVE Headstart Croydon! The staff are incredible and my little girl is always happy/excited for childcare. We have been at the centre over 12 months and had nothing but support and care the whole time. The staff cater to each child’s needs and I wouldn’t send my little one anywhere else!

Our son has been with the wonderful team at Headstart for over a year now in the babies room, and we couldn’t be happier with his care.

The educators are kind, compassionate and eager to support learning outcomes and milestones as he develops. It’s a warm and inviting environment that gives us great confidence knowing that our son is having such a positive experience every day he attends.

The team have been easy to deal with, they communicate well with us about our son’s day and I could not speak highly enough of the quality of service provided. We are always met with a smile and a very happy boy at the end of each day.

The facilities have also been upgraded, and it’s great to see the improvements to our sons learning experience with more activities and toys to explore with.

Would absolutely recommend the centre to anybody looking for quality care for their child.

Headstart Croydon is a great Centre and we do love being able to send our toddler there. The staff are really caring and do have a great appreciation for each of the kids that go there. Our son loves going there so we knows he loves the place and comes home tired at the end of the day which is a win for us! Shelby and the team are great and communicate very well with us.

We love our centre and educators so much! We've had our son in part time long daycare since he was 10 months and he's flourished there over the last 5 months. The educators take note of his interests and encourage him in those areas as well as introduce him to lots of new activities and concepts that I would have never thought of doing myself. He is always happy to see the girls in the morning. The food they have is diverse and he seems to really enjoy it! Our educators are wizards and even manage to get him to sleep in the day! If you're looking for somewhere homely and close knit to send your children to, I could not recommend Croydon Headstart more highly.

I recently enrolled my seven month old son and have had nothing but an amazing experience from start to finish. Everybody is so kind and welcoming and whilst I was a little nervous at first about leaving him (first time mum) I knew he was in great hands! They’ve always had time to answer my questions and the Xplor app they use is amazing to stay up to date on everything and to see how my son is going throughout the day. Couldn’t recommend them enough ☺

I sent my middle child to Headstart at the start of 2019 after leaving another bigger well known establishment. My 3rd child has now been attending since 2020 starting in the nursery at 12months old. I have been extremely happy with the continuity of staff. My daughter knows all of them and despite having her favs who she doesn’t stop talking about she is happy to be greeted by any of them at the door.

She loves all the experiences she gets to be a part of, especially painting, sensory and cooking which all happen very regularly. The food is healthy and diverse and so great knowing she has had a good home cooked lunch if she’s tuckered out and ends up with eggs or yoghurt for dinner.

I love this centre so friendly and small. Wish I had of started my daycare journey here with my first child.

We have been attending Headstart Croydon for 4 years now and my 3rd child will begin there in the next few months. It has a homely feel being a small centre and all the educators truly care for each child. They have made returning to work a smooth and comfortable process in what can be very daunting for families.

Highly recommended! We are in our third year at the centre and had a good gut feeling about the space and educators at our first visit when looking for a centre for our baby daughter who is now in kinder.

The smaller size of the centre gives it a personable feel and over time we have got to know all educators by name - and they have all been great to talk to and very kind, caring and helpful. The centre management is really good, especially Shelby Smith is a pleasure to deal with and can work through any questions we have had. There is not a lot of staff turnover which has been great for continuity for our child and also a good sign for us as parents that the team is happy :-)

Each child has development goals and our daughter has been flourishing going through the curriculum and it’s just amazing to see. She also sleeps and eats better there than at home, which we are a little bit jealous about :-D

In terms of layout, the indoor centre has cosy rooms dedicated to babies, separated from toddlers and a bigger walkthrough kinder room so it all felt quite safe especially back when our daughter was just a tiny baby. Outside is a spacious outdoor play space, with a special play area for babies, which gave us a peace of mind that our little girls won’t be trampled by toddlers :-)

The centre is part of a bigger network (G8) so it seems to have good governance, systems etc - for example the Xplor app has been so good in keeping us at peace when leaving our little baby at the centre in the first few weeks - so we could see every single nappy change and time/volume of each feed and be certain it was according to the routine we followed for our baby.

Another great thing has been a gap fee waiver for COVID related reasons, which helped a lot during so many lockdowns Melbourne has gone through. They have also recently invested in a large equipment upgrade so lots of new fun things!

My little boy has been at Headstart for 6 months now. We are extremely happy there. The staff have been fantastic and the center is very clean. They have a great philosophy towards learning are we get a little update each day with our sons progress. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Both of my kids have been at Headstart Croydon for over 12 months now and they LOVE it! The most beautiful and caring educators and fun and interactive activities and toys. Couldn't recommend then enough!!

Our son loves attending the centre. He enjoys the indoor and outdoor activities and playing with all his new friends. Staff are great and the App keeps us infomred on what he is up to during the day.

The staff are so wonderful and friendly and I just felt so comfortable leaving my little girl with them. There are lots of activities during the day so I know my daughter is learning and she always has a big smile when she knows it's daycare day. I'd highly recommend this Centre.

My boy has been going this center for few months now. The center is nicely clean which is the most important thing I concerned. The educators are friendly and professional that making my boy settled easily. The center keeps in touch very well with all the families via email and Kindyhub app which I can see the pictures for my boy of the day and daily reflection as well. Thanks for those lovely staff in Headstart.

The Educators are so friendly and the Center is like a warm inviting home. We knew from the first day we walked in that we would be very comfortable leaving our daughter in such capable hands. I have, and will continue to recommend it to anyone and everyone!

My kids have been attending this center since befor Headstart Early learning took over. I was a little worried at first but now it has been the best thing to happen to this center. The rooms,toys,food and yards are much better cleaner and safer. And i love ALL the hard work and changes the director has done for this center to be a better place for the kids. Would not recommend a better center 😊

My boy attends Headstart and I couldn't ask for a better environment for him. The staff are fantastic and provide a program that is catered to his needs. They are really sustainable which is a plus and I love their app Kindy hub which lets me know what he's been up to during the day. Highly recommend the centre to any parents.

My son has been at Headstart for awhile now & there is no other centre I would trust more. The educators put in so much effort with him & communication with myself! I have never felt more comfortable sending him anywhere.

My son went into daycare full time and Kate and the team made the transition a seamless one. He loves his days at Headstart and always comes home one happy baby! Couldn't recommend more highly.
