La Porchetta Bayswater

Always my go to for a chicken schnitzel. Most places do it with a salad on the side aswel but here you either pick veggies, hot chips or a salad. Anyway still delish.

Super nice place. Went there for a lunch, get surprised with so good deals. Just for 40 AUD we get 4 specials. Even for 4 people it was a lot of stuff for everyone, very good amount and nice cooked. Pizza was delicious , salad and pasta "perfecto". Nice atmosphere with good and quick service from a waiter. Good and fresh facilities. Perfect for a quick and cheap adventure with Italian culture.

I ordered a take out of pizza and garlic bread. It was the best garlic bread I ever had from a store! Most places use the cheap pre made garlic bread but this was on a fresh baguette. The pizza was really good, I’m not the biggest fan of the gourmet style pizzas, so for me their pizza was really good, local pizza shop style. I ask for it to be well done and it was cooked perfect with great amount of ingredients. Pleasantly surprised

Had a lunchtime craving for a pizza and this place was nearby and I hadn't tried them before. I placed my order online which was painless and straightforward. Who appeared to be the owner was very pleasant and happy for a chat. The premises was clean and my order was ready super quick. I rate the pizza 'amazing!' not a disappointment at all.

Been getting dinner delivered from here a lot lately and very happy with the service and quality of the food.
Friendly and efficient staff on phones when ordering, and so easy as they have my number on file.

Great food and excellent service! The manager loved bantering and even gave us a free ice-creams after our meal. Many restaurants have occupied this space over the last 10 years, we hope this one stays around.

Love their pasta, cheesy garlic bread & desserts. Great, friendly staff that are always attentive. Never had a bad meal or waited too long so I highly recommend this store.

Had their pizzas and thickshakes delivered, was well past impressed. Pizzas were hot and beautifully made. It brought a tear to my eye. Thank you for making Take Away Sunday perfect at our house .

Great food with reasonable portion sizes. The addition of a vegan menu is a great bonus. We had the mushroom pizza with vegan cheese which was outstanding, and the Penne Vegano which was equally as good. The kids enjoyed a margarita pizza and chips. Friendly staff, will probably become a regular here.

Very attentive customer service and impressed with the vegan menu (they have vegan cheese, cream and aioli--even vegan sticky date pudding!). Loved the antipasto pizza. Would definitely come again!

If I crave pasta this is our place to go, their serving is good for 2. Friendly staff will cater for your request. Highly recommended.

One of the best Italian restaurant in Melbourne. Very friendly staff. I love the Mexicana pizza and schnitzel. Nice atmosphere. A great place to dine with family and friends.

After reading the other reviews, we were a bit sceptical about dining here.

We arrived and were seated almost immediately. We were seated in the comfy booth style seating.

About 5 mins after we were seated the waitress came and asked if we would like drinks or starters.
In the 5 minutes we had already decided what we wanted for our whole meal.

We ordered a cheesy garlic bread for a starter, my partner ordered a spaghetti carbonara, I ordered the porterhouse steak.

The cheesy garlic bread came out about 5 mins later followed by the meals about 10 mins later.

The cheesy garlic bread was garlicy but could have had more garlic (we are garlic lovers and understand that not everyone likes our level of garlic).

The spaghetti carbonara was full of flavour however the bacon could have been cooked a little more (again personal preference).

The porterhouse steak was asked to be cooked medium and they didn't disappoint. The only issue I had was I asked for gravey as the sauce and assumed it would be on the side but it was on it. (Again personal preference and I should have asked if it was on the side. My own fault)

Other than these minor things the staff were super friendly and easy to deal with.

Would recommend eating here.

I was waiting in my car while they cooked my dinner...and they brought it out to me while I was sitting there! Really unexpected, thoughtful, and seems to sum up the friendly general attitude of the staff. Well done!

Had a lovely meal tonight. One of the best risottos I've had. Staff were nice and friendly. Very clean and comfortable.
