Prince of Wales Hotel

Called in for a couple of cold ones before our flight out. Food looked great but we didn't eat (should have!). Great looking pub inside and out and next time we'll be sure to leave enough time for dinner.

Great atmosphere, awesome meals, well appointed accommodation. Definitely will stay again.

Must say haven't stayed but lovely pub for a few beers and excellent meals.Give it a go won't be disappointed.

The food was great and at a good price.
Staff were lovely and friendly particularly towards our 2 kids; they even went the extra mile and ran after us when we left as my daughter left her bag behind.

The local's we spoke to while there were also very friendly, and a special shout out to 'Kevy' who without us knowing shouted our kids to some icecream.

Great local pub, friendly to all, HUGE meals, and very reasonably priced. Popular, so perhaps it is best to book a table if you know you are dropping in. Will visit again soon!

We had the crumbed lamb cutlets, they were so amazing, paired with some Tasmanian wine 🍷 😋 what a winner!!! Beautiful, clean and a nice beer garden out back with a garden. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Wonderful atmosphere, customer service and excellent food. Good old fashion pub meals. Menu as it was on our visit not suitable for vegetarian or vegan but they may be able to accommodate these needs if asked. Friendly locals happy to chat in the bar. Was an enjoyable afternoon spent dining and conversing with patrons and staff alike. Highly recommended and will definitely be back again.

Absolutely awesome!! Scallops were tasty and a good size and the lamb lion chops (4) were delicious 😋 and very reasonable prices, we will return on our next trip nth 😀

Great meal for dinner, love the fact they have half serves!! Beer and wine was also good and the service people were on point on a rather busy Wednesday night.

Huge meals, sweet potato chips were yummy as was the pork ribs and salad.

Great meal staff were friendly nice little pub better to book ahead as its always busy meals are great meals are a really good size for full definitely value for money and half serves and decent size

My wife and I decided to visit Evandale to check out the beautiful little shops and the Sunday markets. We chose to have lunch at this hotel as it was the first eating establishment we came across. How fortunate for us. I decided to have Lamb Loin chops with chips and salad ($24) and my wife chose Wallaby Rissoles with chips and salad ($20). Both meals were enormous and extremely tasty. My plate had 4 chops and my wife's had 2 very large rissoles. The chips were crunchy and the salad excellent. We paired our meals with a schooner of Boags for me and a Cab Merlot for my wife at a cost of $13.50, which we thought was reasonable. The hotel was very busy, but our meals were served relatively quickly and the service was friendly and efficient. The pub has a nice ambience typical of an older Tasmanian hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We are fully self contained. Could walk to the Penny Farthing races, the Showgrounds and the Sunday markets. Great bakery and coffee around the corner. Quiet. Great food and Tamara the publican is very obliging. Such a hard worker too. The Caravaners

Meals were nice and big, our room was very spacious and had a bath. Great atmosphere, owner was very helpful, staff were polite and nice. We will be back!!!

Nice old pub. Good menu good selection. Friendly staff. Small issue with my meal they quickly fixed it no fuss was good. Will go again. Been again best pub meal in a long time and good value 😊
