This pub was good. Great atmosphere
Bar staff were talkative and friendly. The locals are hospitalable and love a chat with someone new. Try the steak meal. 10/10

Outstanding, highly recommended in all respects. Overall, top-notch.

No noise from pub below. Accom and amenities are on-point. Private outdoor areas including balcony up-stairs are a very refreshing space to be in.

Constructive criticism; accom price per/night could be $20 cheaper and stubbies of VB over the bar should be no more than $6.

Gunnedah Noodle Time across the road does a moorish delicious Combination Omelete (Beef, Prawn, Pork, Vegies) on Steamed Rice for $19 and was best I have ever had. The sauce it was served with made my knees weak.

Bar tender can cook steak like a boss, clean, cold beer and good atmosphere

We stayed in a twin room with ensuite. It was clean and perfect for a stopover. I messed up the online booking, but the manager quietly fixed it for me. I really appreciated it. The food in the bistro was sublime. Easily the best pub meal I've ever eaten.

Had lunch there. They Allowed us to have our little dog in the beer garden (and not in the smoking section, as alot of pubs permit). Great meal! Friendly staff!

Highly recommend staying at The Gunnedah!! Loved the atmosphere of the whole place, the architectural features and furnishings were just amazing.
Vita eatery was spectacular ,the room we stayed in had brand new en-suite bathroom was exceptionally clean and the bed was so comfortable. We will definitely stay there again. Thanks for welcoming us so nicely. Roz & Tony

Great refurbished rooms that were really good value and really nicely done.
Had a great night sitting having a drink at the bar and chatting to the bar staff.
Highly recommend the pub for a budget night away and a few beverages.
Didn’t get to try the food but it looked amazing!

Good food and attentive bar service. Felt comfortable and welcome from the moment we entered. It was clear the barman enjoyed his job and was a professional dedicated to ensuring his patrons enjoyed their experience. Food was well cooked and arrived in acceptable timeframe. We look forward to returning when next in Gunnedah. Well done.

Had a great experience and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food was awesome too and great value. Will happily go back again. They’ve done a great upgrade and the rooms are super comfortable. Great job.

Had dinner and drinks in the beautiful Vita courtyard - amazing! Lovely food (especially the Osso Bucco), super friendly staff, quality wine list - and that courtyard, sensational - so nice to be able to sit under the shade of old olive trees in a beautifully designed space. This is the place I’ve always hoped for in Gunnedah!

great friendly staff, good food, large clean rooms, the hotel still shows its history and charm but has been tastefully renovated to a high standard, overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it

Nice pub. Good food, cold beer. Comfy bed and clean well presented rooms. Great value for money.

Staff were friendly and helpful very accommodating definitely welcoming and the steak was fantastic great size meals for a big days work

So accomodating even offered to carry my bags. Room was so clean and modern and the bed was super comfortable. Will Definitely choose here in the future.

Visited THE RAILWAY HOTEL FOR A WAKE ON LOSING A WONDERFUL FRIEND OF MY SON RODNEY OUT .DAVID SMITH WAS GIVEN A WONDERFUL SEND OFF TO CELEBRATE HIS LIFE BEAUTIFUL SERVICE AT CREMATORIUM AT GUNNADAH AND AND THEN RAILWAY HOTEL .THERE ARE HOTELS AND CLUBS TO DO THIS I HAVE FOUND AFTER BEING TO MANY CLUBS THERE ALL SO OUT OF TOUCH WITH THOSE OF US ATTENDING THESE SERVICES. BUT THIS HOTEL, THERE STAFF WERE REALLY IN FEELING FOR US AND I SAY HONESTLY TREATED US LIKE THEY WOULD HAVE TREATED ONE OF THERE OWN FRIENDLY WERE CONCERNED FOR US ALL TO ENJOY OUR STAY IT WAS A MOST ENJOYABLE DAY AND RIGHT UP TO CLOSING TIME SO MY SON AND I ENDED UP STAYING THE NIGHT WE WERE VERY TIRED UPSTAIRS WERE MANY ROOM'S ANT FACILITIES WERE SPOTLESS I WAS IMPRESSED FOR THERE BEER GARDEN AND MANY INSIDE AREAS THAT EXTENDED OUT INTO BEER GARDEN NO DOORS TO OPEN OR CLOSE .PS ID LIKE YOU ALL TO NO I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO GUNNADAH IN MY LIFE OR NO ANYONE THERE THIS WAS WHERE OUR FRIEND WAS TO BE CREMATED HE LIVED AT QURINDI. SO A TRUELY BIG THANKYOU TO RAILWAY HOTEL AND THERE WONDERFUL STAFF FOR MAKING OUR DAY A BEAUTIFUL CELEBRATION OF YOUR LIFE DAVE YOUR OUR FRIEND AND WE LOVED YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS RIP XOXO
