Great Keppel Island Holiday Village

Thank you for a great holiday. Even two weeks later I was still on island time and relaxed. On our last day Geoff took us on his tinny around the island and to remote beaches. Thanks Geoff. Anthony and Yebba were great managers, made us welcomed and showed us the island. Highlight was driving with Yebba and singing songs together from Chess the musical. Not a lot of people know this musical let alone are able to sing the lyrics. Will be back to sing a bit more. Thank you guys...

Stayed for 6 nights and loved it.
Ben and Racheal are great hosts and made the stay feel relaxed.
I liked the shared facilities which were clean and useful with everything needed provided.
Fantastic location and great knowledge from Racheal about the walks and beaches. I loved that they had heaps of snorkels and wetsuits available for guests.
Would stay there again.

The best holiday island resort in Queensland . The wildlife the marine environment and the diving are a great combination on the most relaxed island with great service & staff . Highly recommended

Absolutely great welcome. Clean rooms. Social atmosphere is really good, and looking forward to having Christmas lunch on the island. But the greatest thing is the trust that is bestowed on the guests. There is a little shop that is stocked with necessities, and it operates on an honesty system. If you purchase something, then there is an honesty box to place your money in. How long has it been when one can have complete trust in strangers, as that is who we are.yes the family and myself have been richly rewarded.

What a perfect and magical place! From the pick up at the ferry to the little details around the village - Jeppe and Anthony made our stay at the Village to our personal holiday highlight. The rustic island charm makes an adventure out of everything: hiking to endless long beaches, beautiful sunsets, amazing snorkeling with rays and turtles and great conversations in the social areas. The kitchen offers everything you need and invites for a chat with the other guests or hosts. The BBQ area is a great dining spot. The hammocks invite to relax and read a book when the sun is too hot.
From sun suits to fins, masks and snorkels, everything is available for your perfect beach day. Or grab one of the yoga mats and stretch out for your perfect vacation.
I loved this magical place and therefore I especially want to thank the amazing hosts Jeppe and Anthony!

Just beautiful, reasonable rates very relaxed staff, tent accommodation was very good clean kitchen nice gardens definitely be returning and of course situated on the beautiful great Keppel Island

If I could leave a 100 stars I would. We cannot thank Jeppe, Anthony, Geoff and the whole team at the Village enough. Their warm welcome from the moment we stepped onto the sand, was above and beyond what was expected. The village is so well thought out, with the best communal kitchen, so you can prepare your meals and make new friends.

The use of their snorkels and flippers and beach toys, was a hit for the whole family!

The village has it all, tranquil gardens, hammocks, books, games! The amenities were cleaned a few times a day and the attention to detail was obvious.

It's laid back, rustic Island charm, was exactly what we needed while we waited for our caravan to be fixed on the mainland. 6 days turned into 19 days and we still were not bored.

Between snorkelling, swimming, reading and socialising, we never had a dull moment.

Keppel Island has a special place in our hearts, made even more beautiful by the epic team at Great Keppel Island Holiday Village.

Booked accommodation directly from the village's site and got there by Freedom fast cat ferry from Yeppoon. Checked in around 12:00 (October). The place is amazing and the cabins are perfect. highly recommended to spend some nights for families and individuals. Just bring your food and some warm clothes (gets windy at late noon). With and amazing atmosphere gently conducted by the superb staff made it defently one of the highlights of our travel to Australia. To me it was Paradise. Totally recommended.

Words are enough to describe the experience we had at the Village. Geoff is an outstanding human being, his generosity, love, patience and passion for the island are a delightful mixture to be submerged in helping us forget of the crazy world we live in and strongly reminding us that there is lots of hope for a better future... People can be trusted, it is okay to smile and be generous.
The Village is unique, impeccable, rustic, simple... Just fantastic.
The island is stunning, the white beaches, marine life, lack of crowds, pure nature... What a sanctuary!!!
We will definitely be back for another powerful injection of love, care, peace and trust!

Loved staying here. Geoff was friendly, very helpful and a fantastic host. The staff were so friendly they created a great family atmosphere. We met so many lovely people and heard great stories in our chats with our new-found friends in the kitchen, at the dinner table and around the fire. And then on top of that - Grand Keppel Island is so beautiful and there is so much to see and do.
We would definitely recommend a stay here.

My partner and I camped 3 nights here and it was just amazing! Wonderful value for money, there was even a tarp set up for us to put our tent under. Amenities clean and nice, staff friendly, and the owner Geoff very hospitable! One of the best camp stays I've ever had. Geoff even took us out snorkelling in his boat early one morning with another couple. The atmosphere is so friendly and warm. We'll definitely be back!

Great little village on Keppel. Perfect place to explore the island. Lots of room for kids to play and explore. Thanks to Rach and Ben for the amazing service and knowledge of the island and best walks and snorkeling spots.

The comfiest you can be living off grid. We were 2 adults and 1 child in Dolphin Cottage, travelling with other families. We had full gas kitchen and fridge, huge deck with shaded outdoor dining table and fairy lights, hot water on tap, drinking water and snuggly beds. This community is surrounded by glorious tropical gardens and wood boardwalks. There is a lot of work involved to build and maintain this island village on solar power with limited vehicles. Friendly staff and the island’s nature joyful. Safe and fun for kids to play, snorkel the reef off the beach, bush walk, fish kayak and observe wildlife. We’ll be back

One of the best place I never stay. You feel like at home since you arrive.
You have different accomodation, a huge kitchen, many spot where relax and enjoy the amazing nature around you.

We spend our holiday in this piece of paradise, the village is just at the back of the beach where you arrive and Geoff pick you up with all your stuff.
The place is sooo good for the price, fully stocked kitchen, private rooms and shared Barthrooms, the sand is at your door so you are most of the time barefoot.
The best of everything is Geoff who is very welcoming and gets the time to recommend you what is the best to have from the island.
I can easily compare the island with the whitsundays because of the colour of the water and the sand.
So grateful that we come to Keppel !!

Loved the communal vibe, friendly and approachable hosts, and environmental measures in place at the village. Our cabin was a decent size and was very comfortable to stay in - especially sharing with three other girls. Close to the main beach, restaurants/pubs, water activities, and the village even has water equipment to hire. The price was also very cheap compared to other accommodation. Very happy with this place and will happily stay here again next time I go to Keppel!

Anthony & Jeppe are beyond fantastic hosts, and they really make GKI a home away from home. The rest of the staff were so friendly & welcoming. GKI is stunning and a place you must visit! Highly recommend staying on the & if you need somewhere to stay, stay here! You will not be disappointed.
We will be back at the end of the year & will be staying here again! <3

So layed back and quiet.
We stayed in one of the tents. Clean comfy bed and such a great price.
Kitchen had everything you need, bathrooms nice and clean. Complimentary snorkelling gear.
Friendly staff.
Close walk to the bar with great food.
What a beautiful island we will be back.

Great communication with the Manager Benny even before arriving. He was super helpful and very friendly. Prompt pick up from the ferry and transported to Village. Clean and well maintained property, our rent was immaculate and very spacious. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Communal kitchen was always clean. Perfect location. Amenities block was always clean and accessible.
We had an amazing 4 night stay and will recommend to all of our family and friends. Can not beat the price and service provided.

We had the best journey on this island thanks to Great Keppel Island Holiday Village. Ben and Theo are lovely guys who host and share advice like no one else!
The staff is super friendly and helpful and the amenities are very clean.
We had really nice moments in the kitchen where everybody is cooking and hanging out in the village.
You can feel the community vibes!
We truly enjoy our stay and would have stay longer if the time allowed us.
I recommend this place 100%!
