Keppel Lodge

What a beautiful peace of paradise with amazing views. Love the open plan living, well equipped huge modern kitchen and the 4 large bedrooms with ensuites are an added bonus. Very clean and well maintained and Sarah, Ben and Digger the dog are great hosts!! The gardens add to the tropical relaxing environment. We cant wait for our next stay with our friend.

Such a fantastic spot!! Great house for a big family, ensuite bathrooms in every room. Beautiful tasting fresh rainwater. Perfect location for a family gathering. I could go back!

Keppel lodge is in a great position, however a long list of essential maintenance items have been neglected.
The hot water shuts off intermittently, and needs to be reset outside. The oven door does not fully close, and there are no instructions or labels on the dials and buttons for the gas stove and oven. It took trial and error to start the oven. The bbq appears to have a failed regulator and is a safety hazard, as it needs to be controlled with the bottle tap as much as the burner taps. Many of the flyscreens have been replaced with shade cloth. The septic system appears to be hanging on by a thread, and clogged easily, we suspect from previous guests efforts.
The new caretakers in 2021 are great, and did their best to make our stay enjoyable.
