Great Keppel Island Hideaway

Stayed at the hideaway for two nights - talk about location! One of the best kept secrets on the coast - the food and service was great and would highly recommend a multi day stay to really enjoy it. Great hiking trails as well as a playground for the kids to play

Amazing. I've stayed at a multitude of islands in the pacific including Fiji' Rarotonga + our Whitsundays + Capricorn Coast .
This place is amazing. Staff are honest and informative passionate and engaging.
I was here last wk, only to come back for 2 days!

Jordy was an absolute superstar! We decided to stay on the island last minute and she sorted everything out for us, gave us a lovely room and even gave us a phone charger. She was super welcoming and friendly, as were all the other staff. Would highly recommend the Hideaway as it is right on the beach so you can step out of your room and watch sunrise and sunset.

We spent 3 nights on Great Keppel and can highly reccommend. We felt like we had the island to ourselves. It's a very low key destination, beaches are stunning, the snorkeling off shelving beach to the left very nice and easy to access, I hired a snorkel and a pool noodle,
There is no highrise and only basic amenities, the food is reasonably priced and we found excellent burgers at Cafe on fishermen's beach,

This is my second stay at GKI Hideaway and I can only say that the staff and service are faultless. Of particular note was a staff member named Sophia who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience at the resort was truly enjoyable .Although the food prices were slightly higher than the mainland the quality was fantastic and the service was fast and efficient. The rooms are clean and comfortable however there is no television or internet access in the room but switching off is part of the island experience Overall I would highly recommend a stay a GKI hideaway.

Absolutely fantastic, the island doesn’t need anything fancy to make it incredible Mother Nature has done the heavy lifting! Our room was basic but lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and the food was great. Only critique would be a new shower head wouldn’t go astray.

We just spent 4 glorious days here - we all wanted to stay longer! The resort staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed I Putney Place 1brm which was perfect for our family of 3. We took our own snacks, cheese platter and wine in the afternoon overlooking the bay was fabulous. Most meals at the restaurant were good. Happy Hour was great value. The snorkelling at Shelving Beach was perfect. We will check out the other spots on our next trip. Definitely a great budget friendly holiday 👌

Highly recommend a stay here very clean accommodation bar and restaurant, you may want to bring your own food especially if you're a family very little grocery available, would also recommend pizza shop for pizza and hotdog 🌭 IF! it is open and can't speak highly enough of what once was called the rainbow hut, just excellent food and some clothing not my style, but it could be yours

Absolutely amazing views and super relaxing, beautiful part of the world. There was a bit of a wait for the food to be delivered but that’s expected when there was so many people on the island, bring some snacks to candle on while you wait

We stayed on our boat at Woppa, but visited the Hideaway for meals. Top notch menu, delicious cocktails on the beach. Heaven.

What a special stay this was. Located on the glory of a secluded little island, it was so peaceful staying at Great Keppel Island Hideaway. All the staff were above and beyond levels of friendly and helpful. I just felt so welcome. I'm sure I'll be back!

We love this place. It is the perfect holiday.
The upgrade at Putney Place is fabulous. The food is good, reasonably priced. Management and staff do a fantastic job. See you again in April 2024

Had an amazing time here with my partner for a romantic getaway! The island is stunning with some of the best beaches I've been to, amazing friendly staff who were very accommodating to our needs. The food and drink selection is great and very reasonable priced. Snorkeling from the island was absolutely amazing! I recommend getting a bottle of wine and watching the sunset on putney beach then heading to the bistro for some dinner

GKI is one of our favourite places to stop over in our boat. We have stayed in the cabins a few times but usually stay on our boat. The resort is a great place and welcomes people that travel their in their own boats unlike other islands in SEQ like Tangalooma that don't allow non guests to use the bar and restaurants. We will always come back for the snorkelling, the sunsets and, of course the happy hour!

Good atmosphere. Food is good and it is understandable that prices are higher than mainland. Though things like a $10 card minimum than charging $2 for a little sauce makes for an annoying experience. Not being told at the time of ordering my meal and then having to go back and order something over $10 to get a bit of tomato sauce. Overall good experience, location definitely makes it nice.

Lauren is the most amazing, talented, beautiful, insane personality I have ever met. If anyone deserves a 5 star review It is Lauren. I wish I could give her 100 stars.

We absolutely love staying at Great Keppel Hideaway! 24 hours on keppel = 3 days somewhere else! There service was fast and friendly and the food was lovely! Heaps of Gluten Free choices for me! The view over the ocean and the sunsets are extraordinary.. we literally ate our dinner right on top of the ocean with an amazing sunset all around us. We did a lovely hike over to Monkey Beach and snorkelled in crystal clear water with so many fish and a friendly turtle. We then headed over to Long Beach and hiked home through the middle of the island. We had beautiful coffee over on Putney Beach the next day and we are now sitting in the shade setup and ready for a day of free live music! 12/10 !!!
