Growing up, I viewed stores of this format as being convenient but expensive. We moved to this part of town a couple of years ago - I'd like to say the latter isn't true - surprisingly the opposite. Carries a large range of general groceries (including speciality ones), at very reasonable prices, and the shelves are almost always full.

When the big supermarkets had protracted supply issues, these guys had stock. Roast chickens are large and affordable. My wife is very fond of O'Donnells 10 Grain bread which is always available.

Staff are always warm and welcoming. Very happy to continue supporting this great local business.

The name of the place rings true. There are many small supermarkets/convenience stores as good as this one. Not really that small either. They stock just about everything a big supermarket does and aren't really that much more expensive (in some cases, even cheaper). The store is always clean, the delicatessen has great ham and the produce is fresh. ALL the staff are friendly and approachable. They go out of their way to help in any way they can. Great customer service, I like feeling welcomed whenever I enter the store.

Great variety for the size of the shop, especially the home style cooked meals and desserts offered. Always the loveliest staff

I love this place. I travel across town for the best seafood salad in Toowoomba, and the friendly service.. real service, old time courtesy and help when you need it to find just what you want. The new expansion gives even more for the daily shopper, and quick visit for takeaways... And a year on, the service just gets better. I love the availability of basics, like old time starch powder, and selection of condiments.. you just don't find these elsewhere around town (and I've looked). A fantastic community store.

Rather large SPAR with all the necessities that I could think of. Very good and competitive prices on some items and a very warm and polite service
