The Retreat at Froog Moore Park

Wow! This place is something special, there are several themed rooms and we were lucky enough to have a look at most of the rooms and they are fantastic. The rooms are large, spacious and spotlessly clean and most importantly have a very comfortable king size bed. The gardens on the property are lovely and the room we had (Moroccan) had a door straight out to the garden with a table and chairs just outside the room to soak up the sun and take in the lovely view. Breakfast was spectacular and delicious with produce grown on the garden grounds and the hosts Peter & Sandy are very hospitable and go above and beyond. I highly recommend The Retreat at Frog Moore Park. Thank you for a short but wonderful stay!

This was a little getaway for me and my boyfriend for my birthday and I honestly couldn’t be happier that we came here!! The atmosphere is just amazing, the maximalist designed reception/dining area that immediately catches your eye and the staff are so welcoming and friendly it makes you feel right at home. And don’t even get me started on the rooms! We stayed in the dungeon and it was absolutely stunning. It was such a spacious little getaway with plenty of room to explore and relax, and the bed was ridiculously comfortable with a unique, flirty design. We will definitely be staying be staying again and trying out another one of these beautiful and unique rooms.

So much!!! Our welcome and tour of our accommodation, the room and the thought that has gone into making it perfect! The grounds are amazing, but that breakfast!!!! Apple, pear and raspberry juice served in crystal wine glasses! Fresh fruit from the garden with local honey! Fresh, homemade toasted muesli but the eggs Benny!!!! We will be back❤

Super cool space and relaxing gardens which promote a relaxing stay.
Both owners are wonderful and the level of service they provide is in my mind top shelf..
I will only stay at the retreat when I travel to Tamworth for business.

Gorgeous place to stay with lovely and respectful staff. Our room was wonderfully decorated and clean with a private entry and exit. My partner and I will definitely be coming back and booking different rooms for our stays. No doubt our goto hotel in Tamworth.

My partner and I stayed here for a getaway during a date night. It was wonderful. The Japanese themed room we stayed in (Maeda Room) was beautiful and comfortable. It was very quiet, and the outdoor garden area makes for a tranquil walk in the morning sun. Our host, Peter, was a joy to chat to and endeavoured to provide the best hospitality possible. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast! We were reminiscing about it all day afterwards. Highly recommend as a holiday or night away when you want to feel pampered and carefree, you won't find anywhere better in Tamworth.

After so many positive reviews need I say more? Well yes, because as a return guest, Froogmore Retreat just gets better & better each time.

I’ve been fortunate that my preferred Japanese Room has been available each time as a welcome respite from the Tamworth heat.

The delight of the stunning garden; Peter’s warm welcome & easy conversation; &, Sandy’s delicious culinary surprises (inspired by seasonal produce from the garden & their travels) offer a wonderful sanctuary for this
weary traveller.

Why anyone would stay in a generic motel rather than at Froogmore with its hidden delights is beyond me, but sssh🤫, don’t tell too many people. 😉

Beautiful facility, full of enchanting character, spotlessly clean with expansive delightful gardens. The hosts, Pete & Sandy very friendly and accommodating, they couldn’t do enough for us. Especially grateful for their attention to detail of my challenging dietary needs, the food was divine!! An accommodation experience not to be missed!

Excellent escape and reset! Delightful place, people, food and atmosphere.
Perfect mix of comfortable plus exciting, unique, interesting.
We stayed in the very beautiful and relaxing Maeda room, opening out to the large oasis-like garden. We enjoyed walking to the town centre of Tamworth.

Just spent a wonderful 7 nights in the Japanese Room.
Breakfasts were fabulous. Peter and Sandy are wonderful hosts and make you feel very much at home.
Room was beautifully decorated, spacious and very comfortable. Every possible amenity has been thought of and provided. Highly recommended.

We were looked after beautifully by our hosts. Rooms were very comfortable with good amenities. We dined in both evenings and the food was absolutely amazing. Lovely quiet setting and I'm sure the garden will be an absolute delight as the weather warms up.

Spent one night here as I was in the area from Sydney for work. As soon as my partner and I walked in we were greeted very warmly by Sandy. We were then given a tour of the hotel by Peter and were shown our rooms which we were blown away by. After the tour my partner and I went into our rooms, the Moroccan themed and Japanese themed rooms, respectively. The attention to detail in the rooms aim to make the stay feel as immersive as possible. After freshening up, we went up to the lounge area where we had some drinks while waiting for our dinner. My partner had Burmese ginger pork curry with rice and I had braised beef cheek with mash and vegetables. We were honestly both blown away the flavour and freshness of our dishes and both agreed that it was a good idea to not eat out, as we would have missed out on such immaculate food. The dessert that followed only made things better as we both opted for the homemade sticky date pudding, garnished with the homemade caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream. I’ve been to many hotels but none reach the sense of comfort and welcome that The Retreat gives. Very happy with the service and I look forward to my next stop at The Retreat!!

Wow, what an amazing experience!

The Retreat at Froog Moore Park must be one of the best bed and breakfasts I have ever stayed at! As soon as you walk in you know this place is different, but very special (I wont ruin the surprise!). The room are quirky, clean and quiet. Perfect for a relaxing weekend or to stay for business.

Although, the most amazing thing about this place is the food! Sandy's cooking is a mix of all of the cooking adventures Sandy and Peter have had around the world and packed with amazing flavour. It is the best food I have ever had in Tamworth and rivals that of the best restaurants in the Hunter Valley, Sydney and Melbourne.

Such a wonderful secluded intimate setting... Owners do everything to ensure your stay is fantastic. Our second visit now and we will definitely come back. Beautifully appointed themed rooms to suit your mood. Beautiful gardens which invite you to sit, relax and enjoy a nice drink and spend some quality time with your loved one. Absolutely gorgeous meals prepared with a wide selection of wines to suit. Booking direct with them also saves you some money..

I stayed at the retreat during a work trip in Tamworth. The entire experience was superb and the retreat is an excellent and comfortable place to stay, making working away from home easier. The themed rooms were a welcome change to a boring and drab traditional hotel room. Peter and Sandy were excellent during my stay and the food they serve in house is absolutely amazing. You wont be disappointed with the retreat!

This is a unique and amazing place to stay, the themed decor was stunning in the large and welcoming room. The landscaped gardens also were a joy to walk through. Pete and Sandy are a lovely and engaging couple, it was a pleasure to stay there. Great value, it would be one of the best places in the world to stay, we were stunned to find this 5 star international rated place in Tamworth, and sorry we had to leave.

A very quiet and a very clean retreat.We have stayed here several times and the high quality presentation has been consistent. Great to have this type of superior accommodation off the noisy highways. The garden space is a bonus that is rarely available in regional NSW accommodation. The hosts are unobtrusive, informative and helpful communicators. Froog More Park has to be the best presented, spacious and most reasonably priced accommodation in Tamworth. Phillip & Leigh

I thought I had a booking at another motel just around the corner and the booking had been stuffed up so I discovered The Retreat at Froog Moore Park. OMGoodness!!! What an absolute gem. Seriously. The rooms have a real touch of the unexpected that cater perfectly to the romantic couple and the corporate travelers looking for a couple of steps above the soulless corporate rooms you see so much of these days. The food was first class, as was the service. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable with a real touch of class. Even the music is fantastic creating the perfect vibe. I can't believe there is anywhere else anywhere near as good within a 250km radius of Tamworth. Thoroughly recommend.
