What an unexpectedly outstanding hiking experience, and simply a must do for anyone wishing to connect and disconnect at the same time. The accommodation, the team, the food and the trail are all world class and arguably the best in Australia (and yes it's only 90 minutes from Brisbane). If you are in any doubt ...... invite some friends, just book it and be amazed !

Absolutely recommend the 4 day hike. The team were so amazing, the food and accommodation were second to none. The walking trail was so spectacular it’s going to be hard to find any future hiking to live up to this one. Janner and Katie our guides were very knowledgeable and looked after us so well. Kerralee was the most welcome sight at the end of the day with warm towels, wine and cheese! All our meals were 5 star. The accommodation is just amazing . A very special experience, highly recommend this trip.

We did 2 day and 2 night walk and were guided by Grady and Brendan who were both very knowledgeable and patient and kept a good pace to match all levels of fitness in our group. It was a tough walk on the second day (all uphill) but definitely worth the view and the lovely minestrone soup made by Chef Jake. My only regret that I wasn't able to finish it!

Thanks also go out to our lovely host Jess who was so enthusiastic and friendly and happy to do whatever she could to make our stay so comfortable. It was such a pleasure to see her smiling face after a day of hiking complete with hot towels to refresh ourselves - never lose your energy Jess! To Claudio who cooked our meals on the two nights - there were whispers in our group of taking you home with them so you could continue to cook your delicious dishes for them.

Finally to chef Jake - we never met you however the seeded honey, home made ketchup and chillie and the turmeric pears were absolutely delicious. The overwhelming consensus from the group was that you need to sell these ASAP as everyone would be going home with armloads of your products.

The accomodation was super comfortable and we had everything we needed to stay warm in the chilly nights. A thoroughly wonderful experience complete with all the pampering you would ever need. Will always be a memorable experience for us!

Epic 5 Day Guided Walk!
Our group of 12 was expertly led throughout each day by Ellie and Hayden and greeted into camp each afternoon by the adorable Sophie. It was one of those incredibly special once in a lifetime experiences, the challenge, the scenery of Gondwana land, the indigenous and European history, the absolute luxury, and the bloody great people who made every day special. To have been able to walk 57km along the edge of that ancient volcano was an absolute privilege! Thanks to all the team at Spicers for making our first multi day walk such an awesome experience, we are well and truly hooked now. Other Great Walks of Australia look out!

Sensational experience due to exceptional staff, amazing scenery and hiking in World Heritage Wilderness. The food and accommodation was beyond anything we could have imagined. I can highly recommend this world class 4 day luxury hike.

Hiking this rainforest was an unforgettable experience. We did the two day walk and had a wonderful guide that was extremely knowledgeable about the land, history and Indigenous culture, and wildlife that the area is home to. The trek was rewarding and the accommodation was perfect for resting and refueling. We would love to come back and do the 5 day version.

Highly recommend this five day hike with overnight stays in very comfortable Spicers accomodation. With 2 guides (thanks Jack and Juanita) and 10 other guests (awesome bunch of people), we went on an informative and enjoyable journey that meandered across the range to Cunningham’s Gap. The hiking was challenging but manageable due to not being rushed and having time to stop, catch our breath and learn about the flora and fauna around us. The end of each hike was celebrated with plentiful amounts of good food, beverages and company. It was an amazing experience and kudos to the whole Spicers SRT team for their efforts in making our trip a memorable one.

It's worth your effort when you reach the top

We took Mt Michell walking track. It took us- a group of 9 people range 2 years old to 70 year old- total of 5hrs return. My 2yo son walked 1/3 the track then he felt asleep so I had to carry him :-D My 4yo son did 2/3 the track and we had to carry him as overgrown plants.

6 day hike - Amazing trip just loved it. Our guides Harley and Kate made the trip for me. They were incredible. The usual level of spicer’s hospitality and food was 5 star as usual. The rainforest was the real star though. Incredible so close to Brisbane!

We found this an amazing experience. The accommodation was superb. The chef Jake and the hosts were fantastic. Jake's food was amazing. The guides Sean and Mark were outstanding. We had never hiked like this before so it was a new but immensely rewarding experience. We made friends with our fellow hikers who were inspiring.

A fantastic experience with a customer focused team who did everything they could to make our hike enjoyable. We hiked all kinds of country with some easy sections and others extremely hard. All this added to the experience. Day 2 with Douglas was just great as he showed us how the aborigines lived before we came along. They put on a fantastic final night dinner for us and made us all feel real special. Highly recommend this hike.

We did the 4 day/3 night experience and got an experience like no other. Food was amazing and the hospitality every night was exceptional. Hiking in style. Special shout out to our guides Grady, Mark and Scott who made our walk very special and the amazing Trevor and Victoria who worked hard behind the scenes to make everything feel luxurious. One of the best holidays I've ever had.

Excellent walking trip - beautiful and spectacular scenery. Harley and Jack were perfect guides - wonderfully informative and knowledeable. I haven't hiked for over 35 years but had no issues with the trail. Very friendly atmosphere, delicious food and drinks. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone irrespective of previous hiking experience.

I'm now ruined for all future hikes. This is what luxury is all about and I can't think how it could be improved. The food on trail is fantastic - a big shout out to Ricky the Chef who provided stellar meals for most of our hike. He managed to turn out first class meals for a diverse group of vegetarians, flexitarians and meat eaters for every meal. His dishes were superior to those we had at the main restaurant at Hidden Valley especially when it came to vegetarian choices.

The accommodations were spectacular, first class and well thought out. The trail itself was very varied, had spectacular views and presented some challenges but not beyond anyone with a regular level of fitness.

Our guides, Hayley and Mark, were great. Both were professional and kept us on our toes. Great work you pair.

I was very sceptical when my partner booked us in but I'm a convert. Well worth the money.

Had the best time on the 2-day Hike in early April 2019. The weather was perfect and the facilities/amenities just incredible. A BIG thank you to Karmen (Guide Leader) for getting us safely to Spicers Peak and for all the education along the way, we learnt a lot. Also can't go without mentioning Chef Andrew who made sure I was well catered for being Coeliac and Canopy Chris who was the best host and really made sure things went smoothly when we arrived back at camp each night. The three of them made the whole experience absolute perfection. Thank you so much. If you are wondering whether to do this, don't hesitate!

Awesome! We went early April for the 2 day/night trail when it was just starting to get cool enough to sit by open fires at night. Great experience and staff - Thank you so much to Karmen for guiding us and your sense of humour ;-) to Canopy Chris for welcoming us in each day and making us laugh, to Andy for delicious meals and Emma for keeping us on track.

A wonderful experience from the beginning to the end. The walk with Spicers exceeded all my expectations and those expectations were high.
Especially notable were our amazing guides who made each day a memorable one. Very proud as a Queenslander that this is in our "backyard".

What a privilege to hike this track. Walking through mystical world heritage listed rainforest - where few people have the opportunity to go. Guides were amazing. Hike was challenging (in a positive and rewarding way). Accommodation 5 star 🌟.
