Vina Vegan Restaurant

Absolutely perfect vegan restaurant to go to. The restaurant was clean, price was so fair and the food was amazing. Everything we tried was great. Definitely come back again. We love Perking not duck roll the most!

In my opinion, an underrated vegan gem in Newtown. There are so many great vegan places around here and I find myself coming back over and over to Vina! It's got a huge menu and their dishes are homely, tasty and well portioned.

I especially love the Tom Yum soup, so delicious!

My partner and I went there on our first date and have been going regularly ever since. The food is delicious, the service is prompt and friendly, and we didn’t think it was possible, but lately the food has become even better.

It feels like they’ve recently had a glow up and even added these nifty byo container signs. Sadly, we never have leftovers because the food is simply too good, so we haven’t had a chance to try it ourself.

We will be coming back for their special fried rices and yummy tom yum noodle soup time and time again.

Friendly & nice atmosphere! Big & fast servings & yummy food, especially no garlic & onion. Sure to be back & less than $90 for 4 dishes + salad + a rice (4 people)! So Worthwhile!!

Dive into a peking duck noodle soup: the soup is full flavoured, sweet and rich. The soy based duck pieces float above a sea of yellow egg noodles, bok choy, many mushrooms, and hidden pieces of sliced tofu. Excellent flavours. Lovely service. Don't be put off by its 'vegan' title. The Banh Xeo is huge with crisp lettuce, pickled carrots and daikon, and fresh mint. Share a bowl with the aromatic Jasmine hot tea. Worth a visit or two.

The best vegan food I have had in a while, everything was spectacular I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. If you’re vegan you must try it. Finally found a restaurant that does good vegan duck! Blown away with how good this place is!!

The best Vietnamese dishes in Newtown. Vegan would love almost all dishes here. However, my friends (not vegan) also enjoy having dinner here as well.

Incredible Vietnamese flavors, I highly recommend the vegan duck noodle soup, the combination fried rice and the spicy eggplant with black bean sauce( not in the pics)! The staff is friendly and the place has a chill vibe.

We came here as a decently sized group and, because of this, were able to try multiple things on the menu. Before we discuss the food though, the service was a standout. The guy (I think he’s the owner) was very friendly and patient with us, and hugely hospitable.

The food was good! Out of the 12 or so dishes we got, I’d probably recommend 8-10 of them! I didn’t take pictures of all of them but here’s what I thought:
- seaweed fried rice - very nice; a unique mix of flavours and good textures too! It was crispy without being dry. I think they could have added a bit more veggies, but overall very nice
- stir fried noodles - we got both the thin yellow noodle (crispy) and the flat noodle. Both were nice and had good flavours. The veggies on top were just steamed, not too complicated, but still nice
- combination veggies - this is the one dish I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend unless you really love veggies. Just get like there wasn’t anything particularly special in the dish
- sweet and sour prawn - interesting sweet and sour flavour. I think it’s something to try but I don’t think I’d order it again
- spicy eggplant in black bean sauce - yum! The dish came with tofu and potatoes. All three parts of the dish, especially the sauce, were delicious. We got two but we probably should have gotten another two.
- red curry - highly recommend this dish. It had great flavour. I didn’t get to try much cause it was eaten up by the time it reached me
- tomato rice - we got one of each rice but this one stood out. It was unique and tasty, and went well with the components of the other dishes
- papaya delight salad - not really a fan. It wasn’t “bad” but there were just so many better options
- banh xeo pancake - very nice; good texture and filling and the sauce really complimented the dish

Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place. The service was great, they pumped the food out real quick and were friendly and courteous. They even stayed back late because we were running late, which pushed everything back a bit. They’ve got some flavourful food, and a great range to suit most dietary requirements :)

11/10. Food was just amazing. I had the "duck" rolls and a spicy noodle soup, which just blew me away.

Really delicious vegan food, pretty much unbeatable in taste/portion/price ratio with super generous portions. The atmosphere was also great but a bit loud as there were so many people there.

It was very delicious and authentic Vietnamese vegan food. We have very strict diet and can’t eat onion and garlic so it’s perfect for us 🙏 highly recommended 👍

This is now my favourite 'Vegan' restaurant in Newtown, the customer service is lovely and welcoming, the food is delish! The summer rolls are my favvv!

Food is good and pricing is also good. This vegan restaurant is definitely one of my favourite vegan restaurants in Sydney. The only dish that I would not recommend is the sweet-and-sour with vegan pork. But all the other dishes tried are fantastic. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into vegan food.

The vegan pho is to die for!!! I cannot understand how they create all of these phenomenal flavors in the vegan beef pho. I can't believe how tasty this was. One of my top 10 meals in Sydney

The foods were amazing and obviously delish!! It was our first time here and we loved it. Staff were very friendly too! Highly recommend for someone who is vegan or non vegan. We’re gonna come back for sure! ♥

The food was delicious and the service was friendly. The curry noodle soup was so awesome that I forgot to take a photo. 😅The steamed buns and fried chick’n were good too. Would definitely go back.

It was our first time to experience Vina Vegan and we received such a warm welcome. The service was excellent, the owner and staff are attentive to all diners. The food was delightfully delicious, the menu had amazing selections, each rich in flavour, and generous servings. The Peking Not Duck Pancakes are definitely worth going back for!!! The Papaya Delight Salad is a must have! 😊
