Fish - real fish and perfect fries. It is definitely worth stopping at this place on a long journey, e.g. to Sunny coast. If someone is in a hurry and wants food within 3 minutes, let them go to fast food. A good dish cannot be prepared by snapping your fingers. 5 star for excellent food.

I would highly recommend coming here there fish, chips, scallops (patato cakes) prawn cutlets, sweet potato scallops & vegetarian dim sims are the best that I’ve tasted we’ve made it a ritual every time we drove up here from Melbourne to eat the best fish & chips in South West Rocks LOVE LOVE LOVE Sonia ❤

One of the best meals of fish and chips ever.
They were all cooked perfectly.
No wonder the line was out the door.
It’s great food.
There was a wait for the food, but to be expected when they were so busy.
Will definitely visit when I am back this way again.

good quality fish and chip, fish was fresh, not the frozen stuff, chips were thick, and nice amount of chicken salt, it was approaching Christmas, so expected a wait with the crowds, but not a problem, we are on holiday and have time to relax.

Great food & service - 3 couples had : 2 Fish, Chips, Salad & Coleslaw ($15.50 each), Fish cocktails & grilled fish with Greek Salad and chips ($21), Fish cocktails, potato scallops, chips & salad ($28) : all of it was scrumptious.
A huge variety on the menu too : as excellent a seafood joint as I’ve ever been to. 👏👏👏

Went yesterday and we both agree it was the nicest fish and chips we have had for years. Reasonably priced, beautiful battered hoki fillets and we chose to have two scallops (roe still on thank you) crumbed which were beautiful. Love the touch of love with fresh lemon to squeeze over.

Always a friendly food shop with a great view of the ocean.
Some of the food is home made eg Prawn cutlets and potato scallops.
Good range of milkshake favours but beware if you order at the same time as your food ask them not to make it straight away as they make them first and put in fridge so they go flat easily.
They sometimes bring to your table depends how busy.
The tables are out on the street in the fresh air and they will supply knives & forks to eat your meal.
Always found them accommodating and helpful so hope they retain those qualities with any new staff.

Flat head and chips were great and fresh. Staff were fabulous. Went back a second time before moving along on our holiday.

A fish and chip shop which packs a punch! Wow! Best ever large piece of fresh barra with fresh Calamari and chips. The display cabinet and shop is so clean and the variety including potato scallops etc, really worth every cent. With the park lands across the road, beachside, with tables in sun and shade, the perfect spot for a relaxed lunch in nature.

We've been on the road for 2.5weeks along the coast and this has been the best seafood the whole trip, so good we had to get it both nights we were here

This was seriously THE BEST PIECE OF SNAPPER I can remember ever eating from a fish and chip shop. It was obviously fresh, and the oh-so-tasty lemony, thin, CRISP batter was sensational. The snapper was thick, moist and perfectly cooked. The potato scallop was encased in the same batter minus the lemony bits and the potato was moist and tasty. Obviously in house made. The calamari rings were thick and crumbed but I think had come out of the freezer and into the oil. The price for this quality was insanely great value and even if it had been the normal frozen fare would've still been cheap for a piece of fish these days. Service was friendly, and the time taken acceptable for this quality.

After reading the reviews I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised at the tasty meal. Very affordable salt and pepper calamari that tasted good, good prawn cutlet and chips were hot. Wasn't super busy so wait time was fine

Top customer service: I ordered 2 x fish and chips, both fish broke up during fry, no problems, they gave us 4 piece of fish. we were very hunger so well received when most companies wouldn't be so generous / would bin the food. It's the small things. We'll be back!

Had a piece of crumbed hoki and a massive works burger. Good seating just across from the beach park

This is good Aussie fish and chips. Was concerned with the 3.6⭐ rating but it is fish and chips takeaway people, not gourmet. Good fish, nicely battered with nice chips. Reasonable cooking / wait time for a great price.

Covid travel restrictions has just ended and the takeaway was super busy. People were getting super impatient with waiting for their food but given the line and the constant phone ringing for more orders - I was actually impressed with both the time it to to cook and quality of food. Calamari was cooked perfectly, chips super crispy and not greasy. You could tell they clean and change their oil frequently and staff were super polite despite the impatience of other customers.

Fantastic service tonight. Very helpful and fantastic chips. Helped us out with some cooking oil as our unit didn’t have any. :-)
