This little restaurant is unassuming, however they serve good foods in great portions! They serve Cantonese food & their specialty is seafood, however their pork dishes were so tasty! This restaurant is managed by a husband-wife team, so please be mindful that service/food might could be a little slow especially during busy period. Seatings are cramped, hence you may want to get it for takeaway instead (if you don’t like cramped seatings).

As others have mentioned…
1. Small Outdated Dining Room = Squashed Seating
2. Family Team = Slow / Rustic / Self-Serve Service
3. Big Portions = Bigger Price Tag
(Unlike Many Other Chinese Restaurants of Small Portions = Big Price Tag)
4. Caters more to the Cantonese Demographics = Those unfamiliar with this restaurant would find it confronting/unpleasant. And based on the reviews, would also log a ⭐review.

I experienced almost the exact same thing as many have written in their reviews past.
But would I voluntarily choose to go back for more?
Absolutely Yes!

Mixed feeling with the first patron, waited for 45mins on Sat night to get seated as there’re only 6 tables. Foods were served separately, average wait for each food was about 20 mins, almost each table asked for take away containers as portions were massive, foods were also delicious. Cash payment only. Overall still very satisfied with the foods. Will return again to try other dishes.

Hidden gem. No frills on the deco and service. Good food! Good value! Great place for people who want good Cantonese food without the restaurant service mark-ups. Good proportions and they never skimp on the vegetables either.

Go to for me are live lobster and the congee (lunch only)

Reminds me of the good hidden places you'd need to be a local to go find in HK. The type you don't go there for the service (and you won't expect it at this price point), but just regular food cooked well and with good value.

Service is slow sometimes - it is a family run business with 1-2 in the kitchen, so you do get 1.5h waits during peak. If you don't want to wait, I'd recommend going as soon as they open, or ordering takeaway in advance.

Get your orders in when you arrive! I've seen people who get a table, take another half an hour to order...by then later arriving tables have ordered already. Those seem to be the ones who get annoyed about the long wait and having to join the end of the queue.

Owners are nice people. Unlike what some of the other reviews said, I don't think they prioritise when your food comes out based on how much you've ordered. I've ordered just congee and noodles, and my order came out before the large table of 12 who ordered seafood since my order was first.

Great food that actually tastes like homemade. This is a family business run by a couple and sometimes help from family members. The chef/owner definitely puts his heart into his cooking and does not compromise on ingredients. The price may look similar Chinese restaurants but the portion is huge, like at least 1 n a half or even double.
The service is lacking and you must be prepared for the wait. I still think the food quality and value for money outweighs these .

It offers some authentic Cantonese dishes. Freshly made. Dishes are big enough for like 10 adults.

No frills Cantonese restaurant with everything made to order. Portions are HUGE so it’s better to share.

Have yet to try their dinner offerings but looks promising from the menu.

Small family owned restaurant with good prices and massive portions. Although a little squashy inside the food was very good. they had cracker lobster which was fresh, salt and pepper spare ribs and sweet and sour pork was very good as well!

I highly recommend. support your local small business!

Have been to this restaurant since they opened.

The food is always fresh, fantastic and authentic, just like home cooking and the portion is incredibly huge. It's a long wait for your food because they have a really small kitchen. It's EXCELLENT VALUE for money. Their portion is very large, at least one and a half size to double compared to other restaurant.

There isn't alot of service and it's very noisy because it's a very small restaurant with a small kitchen so maximum, the kitchen can hold 3 people.

If you want service and peace and quiet, and dont wait for your food, this restaurant is not for you then look at take away. When it is busy, expect wait time, minimum 1 hour.

Simply put, people go there because the food taste really fresh, low on MSG, HUGE portion on most dishes,, excellent value for money.

We've been buying take away (set menu) from this place for the past 3 years. The quality of food for the price is amazing.

We just ordered the seafood (crab+noodle) set menu yesterday for CNY eve and definitely made our night much better!

Don't be fooled by the interior and service, you come here for the quality of food, and for the price it is a steal.

I recommend that you order in advance, they will give you an estimated pick up time (take-away/eat at home). Waiting time is long. Please dont expect service as it is a family run business with minimal staffing. Appreciate the love they put on the food they make. If you are after service, there are plenty of restaurants that you can pay $100-200/pp that's where you should expect service from.

If you love good food and a nice feast at home with family then check them out!

Massive takeaway chilli chicken and rice (in two separate large containers) at $13.50 is a delicious bargain. Call ahead, ready in 15 minutes. It's not open on Tuesdays though. 😕

As a lot of reviews say, it's not the prettiest dining area but the food is amazing here, great value and delicious.

Lately they've been busy so phone up hours ahead to ensure you can get the pick up times you want.

Surprisingly good food for such a cost of $40/head. Mud crab was super impressive. Wife is mud crab fan and was super happy.

We no longer need to go to Beverly Hills for seafood!

The food is FANTASTIC. The service is not sophisticated and it is not very 'classy' in respect of decor. Quite small with not many tables but it is always full because the food is so good. Glorious food.

Their pork ribs in Peking sauce is the best with a generous serving. Pork is perfectly crispy and tender.

From the outside this place looks small and honestly not very appealing at all. However, the food is absolutely delicious, great portion as well.
