The Nuns' Pool

Great place, quietly understated just up from Shelly Park. Sitting between a café and restaurant, we had a few drinks and lunch.

The maple glazed duck breast, the lamb and burrata with strawberry, all tasted great!

Friendly service and highly recommend!

Came back for the chai latte (one of the best - if not the best - from memory), but arrived late for the breakfast menu. Lunch menu was equally good, although quite a big portion on a not-quite-empty-stomach. Was told the fish taco was quite small, so best to get two. But one was a good entrée/appetiser size.
Service was friendly & efficient. Good atmosphere as it was only 100-200 from the beach.

What a fun, laid back and beautiful venue! I had a privilege of photographing a reception at Nun's pool after a ceremony in the park across the road. This location created a perfect setting for an easy enjoyable and stress free wedding the couple was after. Their family and friends had the best time. The staff was so friendly and inviting. Lots of smiles and great energy!

I’d heard of this restaurant for many years before I had a chance to try it, finally enjoyed a Sunday lunch here, what a treat! Everything was just great. The staff were efficient and attentive, food was absolutely devine ( I simply can’t fathom those that say it’s average) small but thoughtful menu & wine list, coffee and cake delicious too.

More than a cafe, The Nuns' Pool offers first-class dining in casual, elegant surroundings with views over Oak Park.
The Menu offers entrees, mains, and deserts with beer, wine and spirits available.
Service was professional, courteous, but not intrusive, which makes for a pleasant dining experience. Menu changes constantly, so you never get bored with the cuisine.
Dining is available inside or on the terrace, which is covered by an awning if you prefer a more open air setting.
All in all, a very enjoyable day and will revisit soon.

So all the foodies out there, this is a standout spot. My fiancé chose this as a random pick and we took a punt that we’d hopefully get in for breakkie. It was very full but we had a happy spot at the bar looking over the park.

The food was seriously amazing. What I love also is they were not enormous portions but perfectly sized and the flavours were amazing. I had truffles eggs and My fiancé had the corned beef (which was the pick of the two and I want to go back to have a whole one for me).

The staff were friendly, efficient and the decor was fresh and connected to the surroundings.

You can tell this place is run my someone who takes a lot of pride in this little gem.

A local gem across from the park and beach. Impressive food and the staff just take it to another level. Loved my prawn pasta and the barramundi was awesome.

What an incredible experience!! We had a reservation, thankfully because The Nuns Pool was busy!! We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly woman who welcomed us and seated us promptly - we had a brilliant table on the deck. If you’re making a booking for a sunny day, definitely request the deck!! The service by all three waitresses was warm, friendly, pleasant and so genuine. Our food was divine, beautifully portioned and reasonably priced! We loved everything about The Nuns Pool and highly recommend.

I had a family get together here for lunch for 25 people. The food and service were exceptional and the staff went above and beyond. I will definitely be back!

Warm friendly service and some serious coastal vibes in a relaxed dining room. Extensive and inventive menu with something for everyone. The truffle eggs and chill fried eggs we both exceptional.

Saturday mornings never looked so good 🤗. The Nuns Pool Cafe is named after the local ocean pool 🏊‍♀🏊‍♂ - worth a stroll to see.

Delicious food and friendly staff. Even though it was completely packed out orders were taken quickly and food came out pretty quick as well.

Best tuna I have ever had. I would highly recommend it. The sauce is so delicious. Even the vegetables are so crisp and fresh and perfectly complement the tuna and sauce. Also more reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the area.

Great food, pretty good street parking, very clean bathrooms with a proper change table for babies. Coffee is really good and the food was delicious!
