Westpac Branch Ivanhoe

Located in a busy, strip shopping, upmarket area, this is a large traditional style branch with staff behind counters and safety glass. The branch seems a bit rundown, tired and dark, with a lot of lights turned off.
Staff were helpful for the several things I had to take care of in person.
I really appreciate being able to take care of my business banking in a convenient location and hope this branch isn't closed!
There is an ATM outside but no change machine, and I couldn't see a cash deposit machine either, which is a bit strange as it's a very large branch and obviously has the space.

We had hoped to transfer our banking and home loan from our current bank to Westpac. However, based on our experience today at this branch we will stay with our current bank. The staff here were not able to assist us and the branch feels very neglected. Most of the other costumers there today were unhappy with the service they received. Very poor public facing representation of Westpac.

Opened an account online, called the customer service and they said you can walk in to the branch.
Just to be safe i called the branch, nobody picked up so i left a voice message.
Went to the branch and she said they can't open the account have to schedule an appointment.
In 2023, if you have to jump so many hoops to open a bank account then it tells you how good that bank is
No wonder they have to close branches, ing is way better

It took 2 hours to open an account. Lisa the manager was very dismissive and didn't offer any apology for taking so long. The bank was practically empty and the staff were just chatting behind the counter the whole time. Don't waste your time, go to another bank.

Just don't understand why the bank needs to close at 4pm when every other service stays open till at least 5pm. Get with the times.

They are very quick respond by telling people you can do it online.why they are there for?

Shabby carpet and poor presentation is backed up with understaffing and a closed demeanor of staff hiding behind the screens. For such a nice area it is a shame they don’t reflect the community standards. updated. inability to process requests and paperwork still waiting over a month and escalated issues to the AFCA. if you have the choice "caveat emptor".

Won't do what they promise. They won't follow up raised issues and make no apologies after sending confidential documents to an unauthorised address.
Very unprofessional.

Tellers are very slow they look half asleep. Not a very good look for a leafy area.
