ive been seeing Dr Thakkar for Arthritis about 7 years, 20 plus year before that no Dr could help me, First visit he tried a medication different to the rest and it changed my life, not only reduced my Arthritis pain and movement but stopped my daily migraines, Highly recommend

Dr Thakkar was consulted following a recommendation to do so as my health situation/treatment was going in circles and needed a different viewpoint. He listened carefully to myself and my wife and recommended that I get a second opinion from another Specialist in another medical area I was also dealing with, which I did.
This resulted in a marked improvement in my condition and general health and has vastly improved my life.
Dr Thakkar did not request that I re-consult with him or "lock" myself in with him as a patient with multiple re-visits , he sent me in another direction that proved to be the best advice I have had in 4 years of ill health.
I highly recommend engaging this Specialist for a consult if you are seeking honest and helpful guidance with your health.

I am so deeply grateful to Dr (Professor) Vivek Thakkar for helping me with my medical condition. Dr Thakkar has been treating me since early March 2020 and has been the first medical specialist to have correctly diagnosed me for Mysotitis (a muscle-wasting condition). Under Dr Thakkar care, my health has been getting better and I feel myself finally getting back in control of my life.

Dr Thakkar has been seeing me every 4 to 6 weeks and each time he greets me with a wonderfully warm smile and makes one feel very welcome in his consulting rooms. Dr Thakkar makes one immediately feel comfortable and at ease; he listens and helps guide one through treatment options with a very caring and understanding nature. My daughter (who was taught by him at medical school some years ago) was delighted to hear that I was being treated by Dr Thakkar – she said to me “I am really pleased – Dr Thakkar is not only very smart, but I remember him being a very warm-hearted person”.

I am very happy with how Dr Thakkar has been treating my medical condition. He has always been available to discuss any questions I had about my medication, including between my scheduled appointments. I consider myself the colloquial “canary in the coal mine” when it comes to medicine side-effects; Dr Thakkar has been very alert to these and careful to make sure that my condition is improving while minimising these side-effects.

I was in a lot of pain for a long time and was constantly misdiagnosed. Dr Thakkar took one look at me an knew what was wrong. He properly diagnosed me and places me on the right treatment. I have been a patient of Vivek for over 3 years and have found him to be the most caring and professional doctor I have had the pleasure of seeing . Nothing is too much trouble for Vivek and even when I was hospitalised during the Christmas break Vivek made the time during his own holidays to see me and ensure my treatment was progressing as planned.

Terrible doctor. Went to him to continue my psoriatic arthritis treatment which he said I was misdiagnosed with and actually had fibromyalgia. Now 4 years on I'm only 35 and I can't work, look after myself or my children and struggle with the most basic of daily living activities. My psoriatic arthritis wouldn't be anywhere near this bad if you had actually listened to me or even contacted my doctor who first diagnosed me. You shouldn't be practising medicine.

Dr Thakker did not listen to my concerns in a consultation. He made a wrong diagnosis, & continued treatment for the wrong diagnosis after 8 months of so called care. He consults with blinkers on! HE DOES NOT LISTEN TO HIS PATIENT

Expensive appointment for 0 results. Literally saw Dr Thakkar for a couple minutes, which he told me to go see a pain specialist.
