Was turned away by one particular "nurse" in February after having a serious livestock accident. Smashed my foot in many places, (along with internal bleeding) and was asked "and how do you know your foots broken?" Even though I told them I couldn't feel or move it. Was told that my diabetes is "irrelevant". Told that I was denied an X-ray as my condition wasn't "life threatening". Had to go to Tamworth AND Newcastle 7.5 weeks in hospital off and on. Was told my limb was at risk. FOUR surgeries later, thousands of dollars for surgeries, uncountable infections which lead to diabetic complications. Was in a wheelchair for nearly three months with nerve damage on top and inability to walk. On crutches since, still attached to a machine now 5 months later. (June) Shame on that woman.

Visited hospital this morning 6:15am bcz my 3 years old daughter had a worst pain in her ear all night. We were locked in a waiting area which was in front of an x ray room . I asked a nurse on duty politely, if they could give my daughter a bed to lay down and it was my right to ask but nurse on duty misbehaved with me and replied” if you are in hospital it doesn’t mean we can give you bed.” She was sitting in a room busy on her mobile to keep herself busy. She was lacking empathy and didn’t bother about my daughter’s and her condition. After 1.5 hours i asked if any dr can see my daughter. The other nurse who really wanted me to go, said you could leave. And I had to take my daughter (after a long wait) to Tamworth. These nurses are such a shame. No sympathy to the patient and their condition not even kids. Worst experience I have ever had in Australia.Shame on you. You are limited in resources we understand, but your behaviour could be better. I left this city and moved to Melbourne after this incident because I don’t want to die in pain when I urgently need to see a doctor. But looking at this post still gives me goosebumps and reminds me this morning again.

Most of this review all comes down to poor funding and management in the end,

I was briefly seen by a nurse and a clip board of paperwork to fill out, there was no urgency from her, we were waiting out the front for 2 hours with my 18 month boy who couldn’t keep any food or water down for 3 days, we can’t see doctors in town because they are full and we are always told to go to the hospital because they don’t accept new patients, ended up throwing the clip board and paper work in the bin out the front because my son was starving and dehydrated, drove to Tamworth hospital and was admitted immediately and assessed with no paper work jammed in my face to deal with on my own, they asked for our info and ask questions while he was being assessed by the doctor and entered it all into the system, that is some really great service for a stressed out dad on his own, they knew I was worried and on my own and sprung into action to help. Really getting tired of this medical system that everyone work so hard for and we can’t even have a doctor on call 24/7 not even 1 doctor 🤷🏻‍♂ unreal.

One male nurse was great.. the rest of the staff were ordinary and the Doctor would have had to have been one of the rudest and arrogant people that I have ever met! He was full of assumptions too.. I wouldn't recommend the hospital at all. Shame, shame, shame

Came in late last Monday. No doctors. Asked to return 730am. Doctor looked but did not do anything to my injury, sought nurse to do his work and have me antibiotics. Week later, still hasn't closed. Had an infection and my 3rd trip here. Ridiculous

Unwelcoming staffs. No smile, no greetings at all. You will feel hesitant entering the hospital. I hope the management pays attention in improving its employees’ customer service skills!
