Miss Nellie's Café

Extremely satisfied with the High Tea experienced at Miss Nellie’s today. You need to book a spot at least 3 days in advance. The wait is well worth it. My husband and I were greeted with a smile as we were led to our table. The food and drinks were delightful. My husband accidentally forgot his water bottle inside so one of the waitresses ran out to the car to give it to us. Truly exceptional customer service throughout the whole time we were there. It has to be by far the best High Tea I’ve been to. Looking forward to going back.

I ordered a cake which was a special order. I wanted a cake that they made at the Cheesecake Shop, Port Macquarie, which has been closed down. The cake was a Coffee Pecan Toute cake. Jannel had to research it so she knew precisely what I wanted. She did a beautiful job making it and it was delious. The only thing she is heavily book for cakes so if you want to order one allow about 6 weeks around Easter and Christmas.

This was a great little find. Really nice place, with lovely service and homely food at great prices. We had two toasties, toast with peanut butter, a chicken caesar salad and drinks for four for around $50. There's a nice seating area at the front and to the side.

Does this place keep getting better?

I've recommended this place before on trip advisor but back again last week and same high quality but I think the food had IMPROVED.
So impressed again with the quality of food and range of teas (and we got almost 3 cups out of our 2 cup teapot 👍).

Tip: rather than sitting outside out front it's cooler and quieter to sit on a little porch east of the building off the indoor dining room.

(Toilets are clean and roomy - good place to freshen up if you've been traveling - this place isn't far off the freeway).

Great coffee. Magnificent fresh warm scones. Lovely atmosphere.

Overall feel: Laid back, friendly homely country style.
Cleanliness: All surfaces were wiped down and amenities were all clean. I felt completely safe eating here. They disinfect each table constantly.
Staff: Absolutely lovely. Very attentive to detail and fast to bring our meals and drinks out.
Location: Just outside of town centre, lovely quiet area after the bridge. Plenty of parking. You could easily pull up with a campervan etc opposite.
It's pet friendly, as they have both in and outdoor seating.
Accessibility: Admittedly not super wheelchair friendly, although plenty of space to move around if you had prams or walking aids.
Food: Fresh, home made and what's more they cater to vegetarians, vegans and gluten free with soy, almond milk, gf home made treats (the caramel slice was so delish!) and they have gluten free toast etc.
Definitely recommend you go if you're in the area!

Great little cafe with delicious homestyle meals and desserts. Friendly staff and comfortable building. Nice place to have a quiet coffee and cake in the sun on a winter's day. Well worth a bit of a drive from Port for lunch or afternoon tea.

The setting of this small Cafe in Kendall suits the style perfectly. The staff are attired to suit the style well and the food is delish. Wholesome food with great taste. Great for a quick bite on the way past or a good spot to stop for a long lunch and a yarn with friends.

We had an absolutely lovely time at Miss Nellie's on Tuesday morning to celebrate my Mum's 85th Birthday. Lovely friendly service, great coffee and a magnificent cake, in a lovely country setting. Just perfect!

This place is amazing, the atmosphere, service and food are next to none. You have to try their relish toasties made from their mums secret relish recipe. Their coffee is great, personally i drink ice chocolates which are well presented with ample chocolate and cream, with the noted addition of a chocolate on the side of every drink!

Best cafe in the Camden Haven - all food and drinks made with fresh and locally sourced produce, with care and creativity. The in-house baked cakes and treats are a highlight (second to the gorgeous staff).

Miss Nellies is a wonderful cafe that has always served amazing food, drinks, and lovely staff. Living locally, its been so nice to have a great cafe nearby. One that people from around the region talk about and travel to.

When the floods hit in March 2021, it was devestating to see our local cafe destroyed. The ladies at Miss Nellie have always given so much to the community, and the community did what it could to give back.

As of August 2021 Miss Nellie's has reopened running out of a beautiful little caravn at the same location as they work to rebuild an important part of Kendall. You can get coffees, drinks, cakes, scones and Miss Nellies Lemon Mrytle Cheesecake. Please come and support them as they rebuild.

What a little gem we stumbled across at Kendall! Coffee was hot and the tasty homemade treats were delicious !! Will revisit when next in this area. (Loved it was part of the HelloKoalas sculpture drive as well!)

Miss Nellie's is a beautiful little café a few minutes of the motorway, perfect for a coffee /lunch stop. The food, coffee and sweet treats are delicious! They also sell nice jams and chutneys.
