Kalgan Retreat

We had a wonderful stay at Kalgan Retreat. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean.
Bianca was most helpful if we needed anything.
Beautiful, peaceful surroundings, and the walk down to the river was lovely. Goats and horses very friendly. Our dog Leila loved it too.

Kalgan Retreat is an amazing place to excape the city and relax.
Modern, with all the creacher comforts of home. The drive in is scenic and the garden is beautiful attracting my favorite Splendid Blue Fairy Wren. Sit on the bench seat under the tree and watch the sunrise, (so picturesque and peaceful). The bed is sooooo comfy (best nights sleep in years). The chalete interior is stunning, new and spacious. There are even games that dont require a computer of device, DVDS, brochures of everything in the vacinity. Bianca has thought of everything and is a wonderful lady.
The animals have individual personalities and are very funny, you can meet them all as you make your way down to Kalgan River. Take some kayaks or cannoes and go for a paddle quite lovely and also peaceful.
Our dog Bob loved that he could go off lead in his very own enclosure and the fact that he was allowed in the challet to be close to us.
Not to mention the place would be great for a family with kids (so much to explore)

Had a lovely stay at Kalgan Retreat. The Chalet was immaculate and clean. With a fabulous kitchen and family room and bedrooms. With everything you could ask for. The location and surrounds were relaxing and peaceful. The dog fenced area was the best I’ve seen. Would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

Our family had a lovely relaxing time at Kalgan Retreat. The farm animals were a hit and it was wonderful that it was dog friendly. The villa was super comfy , had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again , thanks Bianca :)

We had a fantastic time at the retreat! The chalets are lovely and modern, and the fenced in area for our dog was secure enough for us to leave her for the day so that we could go and be tourists for a bit!
The baby goats and horses were a highlight for my son (4y) who demanded to see them every day, and the river access was a nice bonus too (tho our fishing attempts didn’t go too well 😅)
It was really nice to be able to go away and take our 4-legged family member as well 🐾

We have just had our second stay at Kalgan Retreat and had the same opinion as the first, what a great place to stay. Excellent location if you want to have a quiet country feel with many attractions to visit in the area, also a very good cellar door and restaurant close by.
Chalets are modern spotless and well appointed with a very good fenced area for pets. The property is a credit to Bianca. We will be happy to stay again next time we visit the area

We have stayed at Kalgan Retreat twice with our fur baby and can't recommend this beautiful accommodation highly enough. Often when you travel with your dog you have to settle for less than ideal accommodation. Not so here. The accommodation is spacious, spotless and modern. Bianca obviously takes great pride in her property and has a real love of animals.

The property is only 20 minutes out of Albany but is lovely and tranquil with access to the river, great walks and extremely cute resident farm animals.

The spacious full size kitchen provides the option to self cater and dine in if you want - plus outdoor BBQ options!, or alternatively it is not a long drive in to Albany to try out the many restaurant options.

It was wonderful to be able to have our very spoiled dog stay inside with us (just not on the furniture or in the carpeted bedrooms which is entirely reasonable and is what really helps ensure the property stays looking and smelling as great as it does!)

The secure fenced yard with the accommodation allows you peace of mind that your dog can go for a good run around without fear of running away if they are not so great with recall.

I cannot recommend staying at Kalgan Retreat enough. Set in peaceful countryside, it was an incredible place to stay. The facilities supplied for both people and animal alike are fabulous. It is so hard to find an accommodation that truly is pet friendly, particularly for a larger dog. Kalgan Retreat truly fits as a perfect place to holiday with your fur babies. It's facilities ensured that not only we had a fantastic holiday, but also our very spoilt puppy had a fantastic holiday too.

Wonderful location and fantastic amenities. My eldest loved the kayaks. My youngest loved the alpaca and the John Deere tractor in the shed. Perfect for our group of 5: 3 adults and 2 kids.
So spacious inside, beds very comfortable and kitchen well appointed.
Hope to be back again!

Wonderful location, beautiful setting and spacious chalet. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our dog was accommodated and able to be off lead in is his run, whilst we explored Albany's National Parks.
I highly recommend to anyone, even if you do not have a dog.

Fabulous getaway, friendly host and farm animals, close to Albany and Denmark, relaxing, comfortable chalet for a family. Great, safe facilities for taking your dog. Highly recommended! We will be back!

We had a beautiful stay recently. The unit was clean, spacious and homely. Internet was speedy enough for teens to be content in the evening after enjoying time feeding the menagerie of farm animals. Nestled in nature made for a peaceful break from with a just a short scenic drive away from town. Thank you. We’ll be back 💕

The Kalgan Retreat is wonderful. Very quiet and well presented. It is a well located and nicely appointed dog friendly place. The dog runs are very good and secure. Fifth great stay with more to come.
