Outstanding view, outstanding ambience, outstanding food, outstanding service. It’s an outstanding experience here at Albany. We are really glad that we made this place a choice for a lazy Sunday lunch while visiting the beautiful Albany.

Pretty pricey but won’t disappoint.

BEAUTIFUL surrounds outside, decor inside is good too but I reckon the vibe could be ever better (turn them down lights off during the day for sure and maybe add some more art and greenery)

Faultless. The food is as good as we’ve eaten anywhere, ever. Incredible flavours from thoughtfully designed and techincally perfectly prepared food. The chef is incredible.

The gazpacho sensational, as was the lamb.

The front of house and wait staff were very very good. Came away buzzing from an incredible meal with faultless service. Best meal we’ve had from dozens of restaurants in the South West. Thanks so much Monty’s Pool.

About a 20min drive from Albany, but supremely worth it. The views? Stellar. Service? Top tier. Food? Bangin'. Wines? Easy drinking.

Went a bit earlier than our booking (essential) to have a wine tasting. It's a paid tasting with different price tiers, redeemable upon bottle purchase. However, it's worth the price of admission. The tasting was generous and informative. Sparkling and Cab Franc for the win, personally.

Beautiful setting and the food is outstanding. Without question this is the best dining experience on the south coast. Michelle and Phil and the Monty’s team have created something very special. If you like good food and wine do yourself a favour and book for lunch - it will be the highlight of your holiday.

Absolutely amazing experience. Food was great with lot of local seasonal ingredients. Waitress Jezz was really friendly and and know the food and menu well, nice warm welcome on the door when entering.
The designer of the place have done a perfect job and view is amazing aswell!

Make sure you book, even for lunch. It's 30 minutes out from Albany. I'm not vegan but my wife is, so I decided to eat vegan to allow her to try multiple dishes instead of one. The vegan food there is amazing full of flavour and not your average "vegan salad". A must place to try for vegans and non vegans.

Just... No Comments! Service was top and skilled to serve right wines to specific food, really friendly atmosphere and the Chef and all kitchen staff have our BIG RESPECT. The food was phenomenal!!! Thank you very much for a great food experience to our 29th anniversary.

Amazing food... fresh, exciting and delicious! The staff were friendly and helpful. Even though it was wet and windy, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

Omg. The lamb. Get the lamb! We also got the crispy potatoes and the brussel sprouts 👌👌

Stunning peking duck and spring jardiniere.

Was a little apprehensive about the peking duck breast as this dish is traditionally served with the skin only in a wrap, and duck meat is usually quite tough. To my surprise, the duck breast was tender and juicy! The dipping sauce was also very well-done and authentic. Bravo!

The spring jardiniere was also a dream. The produce was fresh and the saltbush butter coating the vegetables was simply amazing. Highly recommend trying these two dishes!

My only quibble was that it was so busy (they had two corporate tables with 40 over pax while we were there) that our mains came almost an hour after our entrees, but it was well worth the wait!

Food was brilliant/amazing.
Service was great but professional.
Atmosphere was relaxing. Music had a fantastic vibe.

Wow, what an exceptional experience with a bunch of friends at Monty’s Leap today.
From the welcoming and warmth of the staff, to the outstanding food and wines.
Between the 6 people in our group and multiple courses each, we basically covered off on the entire menu and all agreed it was about the best meal they have ever experienced anywhere, which is a mighty big statement.
As for me, I had the octopus and chorizo skewers and the green range lamb and was blown away with how good they were.
What a great example of a restaurant being ran right.
