Outside the Square Cafe

Our family had lunch here and there are plenty of seats available. Highly recommending BLT and Steak Sandwich. Perfectly toasted bread with generous size of steak. The flavours are so well balanced. Reasonable price. There are plenty of paintings on display for sale.

What a great place. Has to be one of the best Egg Benedicts i have ever had. Tea properly done in teapots is also a thumbs up.
A must stop, if you heading through Mudgee.

Best cafe in Mudgee! The food and beverages are perfection! It’s the first place we come to for breakfast when we visit. The staff and owner are very welcoming and nothing is a problem. 10/10 on every dish we have tried. Not to be missed when on holidays.

Great cafe with friendly staff. Good menu choices, including excellent vegetarian options; food was fresh and filling, without being on heavy. We had the roast pumpkin baguette and the vegan bowl (the tomato and onion relish on it was awesome). Coffee was also good.

The vegan breakfast was fantastic and very flavourful. A must if you're in Mudge. The maple chunks were a nice treat. I left wanting more and a tiny bit peckish, this wouldn't be concern with a coffee or other drink. Next time I would order with an extra piece of toast.

First time in Mudgee and so followed the reviews to Outside the Square. We were not disappointed- the service, ambience and food were all top notch. Great value for money, kids are already asking when we can come back...

Before starting a motorbike day trip, we stopped to have a brekkie and a nice cup of coffee besides warming up as it was a very chilly day. Outside the Square perfectly catered for our needs with excellent food and good coffee. I definitely would recommend it....

Sitting outside and after a big wedding the night before we didn't want a noisy cafe so this was perfect with just the right amount of sun and shade at 9am. Food was perfect. Just the right amount for breakfast and delicious. Hubby had the scrambled eggs with spinach and feta , just to his particular taste, which he often doesn't get. I had the eggs Benedict the first morning and the corn fritters second morning -because you never can tell - corn fritters needs a bit more confidence in a place's abilities...
Love love, loved the commitment to reducing waste by having washable napkins in the bathrooms and a wicker waste basket to put them in. Just like in the fancy hotels.
We shared our tea and asked for an extra cup - staff were friendly and accommodating and even offered to take a photo when we were trying to do so ourselves. Even though we were only there two days and it was our first trip to Mudgee we went back the next day. - when you are onto a good thing...😘
