Sammys on the Marina

Once you get to the end of the pier, when you think there is no more, you come to Sammy's. Clear sight to the ocean, great place to watch the boats and sunsets, and enjoy being catered to with amazing food and service, Sammy's provides for a quality meal under a very broad but flavorful menu containing unique dishes and phenomenal sauces. The end of the meal with the desserts is not the end of the enjoyment as each dessert was over the top amazing in both flavor and quality. A dinner at Sammy's is a dinner you won't forget soon.

Went to Sammy's on the Marina to celebrate my 50 th birthday.

The food was amazing, every dish we had was perfect.

Some of the best seafood I've ever had.

The only thing on the day that out did the food was the service we received from Nicola.

His knowledge of the menu was outstanding, no requests was to hard and his personality really made our day truly memorable.

He is an absolute gem.

We will be back for both the great food and the great service.

Had the most delicious meal for my partner’s birthday. First time dining at Sammys and was spectacular. Nicolo was lovely and was so helpful. Went above and beyond with the birthday surprise dessert and made our lunch extra special. Highly recommend to everyone. Food was fresh, tasty and delicious. Thank you for the special lunch.

Had a Sunday night booking with 2 teenage kids. Food was amazing, very well cooked and presented well. The waitress who served us was amazing. Friendly and welcoming and went to any measure to ensure we were taken care of. Left a tip worthy of the staff. We have been there a few times and will definitely be back again

Being from Melbourne and being somewhat of a food snob, Melbourne has set the bar high for me, that said for Adelaide and in the lovely location of Glenelg, I really did appreciate Sammy's. The atmosphere was what you would expect sitting across the ocean from a beautiful sunset with a lovely ocean breeze and sun kissed individuals everywhere, the restaurant was clean and the staff were perfect hosts. The food was fantastic but I didn't rate it 5 stars as I have had better here in SA / Adelaide. Compared to what I have had elsewhere I rate the food 4 stars and very good overall. We purchased the seafood platter at $198 and some side including Kilpatrick Oysters. Barramundi was cooked perfectly, not overcooked but not undercooked. Muscles were very nice and the sauce was nice too, the fried calamari was what you would expect from your average restaurant, the soft shell crab was rather nice but also pretty average, oysters were fresh but I like my fresh oysters nice and cold, these were already getting on the warm side which is ordinarily a big No for me but I could tell that they were fresh so we ate them, pickled calamari was really nice and prawns peeled and fresh, The salad was tiny for such a big meal which is a let down as I feel a seafood platter deserves some fresh salad or fruit to break it up. Oysters Kilpatrick was very yummy. Overall the experience was great and the sunset views you get from this place are amazing, perfect for a seafood lover and a romantic dinner.

If you are a seafood lover, this is the dining experience for you. The food was fabulous, the setting was lovely looking out on the water and the service was spot on. We had a lovely waitress with a smiley face badge (sorry don’t recall her name). She was helpful with the menu and very attentive. A very enjoyable experience.

My husband and I have just had lunch at Sammys with a couple of friends from Sweden. The Staff and service were second to none. The food was excellent. The waiter took the time to make sure we were comfortable and the Chef came to talk to us about our meals. We were all very impressed with everything. Will definitely go back another time.

It's absolutely perfect for everything including customer service. Main dishes are so beautiful and the dessert ( poached pear with red wine + ice cream) is new experience. I can say this is top 3 seafood restaurant in Australia. I would come every weekend if I lived in Adelaide!

This is a bucket list place if you love seafood. All the food was delicious but the oysters and lobster was unbelievable

Love, love, loved this place. Super sweet service, fabulous seafood - giant oysters Kilpatrick- I loved the Sammy's special with calamari, whiting and prawns. It is at the upper price bracket for Adelaidens but I really loved it. A treat occasionally but super good value if you come from anywhere else in the world!!

The outdoor dining gave us a great view of the sunset and the changing colours. The seafood was fresh and tasty .We shared a platter between five to start and then the Barra special of the day. We were all impressed.The excellent service from Cindy added to our enjoyment.We left all talking about the memorable evening . Highly recommended.
