We enjoyed a delicious last meal in Naracoorte here. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the scotch fillet and I the Roast Lamb. The warm mud cake was also a delicious dessert choice.
The espresso martini was also lovely.
Staff were very friendly and provided great service.

We had the bread, oysters and steaks. We preferred the Scotch fillet but the winner here is the wine list - ask for the museum wine list for a surprisingly affordable hard-to-find list of wines.

We had a bottle of 2014 q Shiraz and a 2015 Tynans view cab sauv

Both great in their own respect - bigger fan of the cab sauv.

Staff were attentive and friendly - would recommend 😊

We love this place! The seafood selection is great, so is the lamb shank! We had a nice dinner with the perfect service and the lovely Christmas environment:))

Extremely tentative staff, super welcoming, helpful and fast. Props to who ever made the background music playlist. Absolutely loved it!! The candles provided a beautiful ambiance and the food was incredible. Definitely recommend the chicken mignon 🙏🙏❤ thanks Highlander for a great experience!

Food was flavoursome, well presented with fresh ingredients.
Had a live band playing, they were good, and not too loud.

We had dinner at the Highlander Restaurant because it was close to where we were staying but we were delighted by the service and the food. I had the eye fillet steak, my wife had the lamb shank and our friend had the salmon, after the waitress had answered all our questions. Each meal surpassed our expectations the food was superb and I highly recommend the Highlander Restaurant. Great Service, Great food!

Extremely friendly service. Moved us with no questions to another table as the aircon was too cold where we were sitting. Food was just the right sized potions and super delightful arranged and tasty. We all had 3 dishes, wish is unusual, but it was so well balanced. Local wine is great and fits right into the menu. Well worth the visit and one of the best meals we have had in our 3 weeks in Australia.

Had the soup of the day, mignon chicken and lamp chops. Food was fantastic! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I ordered the salmon and honestly, being in a country town, I half expected it to be over cooked - it wasn’t! In fact it was cooked beautifully; better than in some 5 star restaurant I’ve been to around the world. Well done Chef.

Stumbled upon an absolute gem of a gastronomic experience, certainly a top foodie experience in South Australia.

A specialist steak restaurant that delivers on “special”! The most succulent and delicious piece of meat I’ve had in Australia so far.

In addition to the fine food, I was greeted by a welcoming and knowledgeable staff, who delivered the type of warm and welcoming hospitality that you can expect from of a small regional town.

To our amazement we thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and overall experience. We had the steak and chicken dishes and both were absolutely beautiful. We also ordered the veggies, generous for 1 and dessert of pavlova and Pannacotta, both served generous and delicious. Staff were amazing and very attentive. An overall wonderful experience, we will def be back !

No it's Not Melbourne!! Or Sydney!! Or the Gold Coast!! It's a like gem in a country town Naracoorte.. Absolutely Yummy...

The tomato soup was a near religious experience, in a good way.

My favourite restaurant in Naracoorte. Can’t believe they open for lunch during the weekend. I’ve tried their sweet chilli chicken club sandwich and oysters ( Thai, chilli lime and gin and Darleyfella). All of them are soooo good, especially the Darleyfella Oysters. Highly recommended for people who don’t eat fresh oysters.

Having eaten many times in restaurants attached to motels has not always been enjoyable. The Highlander Restaurant is an exception. Service is attentive, helpful and friendly. Food was outstanding. The lamb shank meat fell off the bone. The Nasi Goreng was tasty without being overly spicy and the egg on top was cooked to perfection.
