Old Green Bean

Fantastic place for breakfast. We really enjoy coming here for coffee and breakfast, they have a nice indoor setting as well as outdoor seating and a fairly decent selection of food items on their menu.
Located in the centre of town, a great stop for something to eat and drink. Highly recommended.

While taking a stroll, we happened to pass by a bustling establishment with a crowd of customers waiting outside, even on a Wednesday morning. Intrigued by the popularity, we decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the coffee strong, although it did take quite some time for the coffee to be served (we had finished our meal by then). The prices were reasonable, making it a place worth visiting and trying out.

This is where we tend to go to most Saturdays for a brunch. The only reason we might go somewhere else is because they're closed or aren't taking any dine-ins (in the last half hour).
I personally think this is the best brunch place in all of Bendigo. Edwards just doesn't have as many vego options and the Botanical gardens place is a total mess. This one on the other hand, is. Just. Perfect!

The food is DELICIOUS. So yummy :P. It took a little while for everything to come, but that was understandable given it was a very busy weekend, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Not expensive either. We had a wonderful time and plan to come back :)
Recommend the brunch bowl and pulled pork quesadilla.

Excellent Cafe! 10/10. The coffee was so good and the food as well. I usually go for two coffees, but I ended up having three 😱. If you’re in Bendigo and after brunch, this venue is a perfect choice.
It would be a good idea to write the calories on the menu.

When you have a queue waiting for a Cafe to open for breakfast, you know you're in for a treat. Beautiful food, great staff, great atmosphere and a fantastic tree out the front where rugs are provided if you want to sit under the 🌳. Amazing

Perfect service at every level. Farmers breaky was just awesome, and a great spinach-based reinterpretation on the old dish that I had here previously. Coffee was great... could have had 5 of them.

The mushroom toastie is one of the best toasties out... I could/would eat one every day.

I guess we all have our favourite place where we get our coffee, especially that important one, first thing in the morning. The place I go is the Old Green Bean Cafe, 179 Lyttleton Terrace, Bendigo. The coffee is aromatic, full flavoured and smooth, a nice heart starter to kick off the day. I have found the team are friendly, professional and prompt. The meals here are delicious and healthy too. You can eat in the café, which has a welcoming atmosphere, or take away. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely amazing and well balanced food. Your renditions of ordinary food become so much more exciting to devour. Exceptional service even though it was a busy afternoon. Absolute pleasure to have dined here and will definitely come back in the near future. Thank you for a great experience.

Fantastic food and coffee in a beautiful setting with shady trees outside and parking. Staff are amazing; warm and friendly.

This is a really nice small cafe in the centre of Bendigo. We were here for a family trip out and the food was really delicious. It’s actually a pretty nice hipster- feel cafe. The tea and the coffee was also very nice as well as the main meal. Very happy to find this place.

Very high quality breakfast. Looks much nicer there in person.

Breakfast bowl and berry smoothie were delicious. It’s a bit loud and busy but if you don’t mind that the food is great! (Service is still quick)

Best cold brew coffee I've had (outside of Melbourne😂), and the food was absolutely fantastic as well! Super friendly staff and a wonderful community vibe. The build your own breakfast was awesome and very good value, I'll be telling anyone I know who is heading to Bendigo to stop in and have a coffee and feed!

Fabulous service. Brilliant coffee and very affordable meals that were amazing! A great range of gluten free options. Will be back again.
