Chiltern-Mount Pilot National Park

Beautiful spot not far from the freeway or Beechworth,, great views from the top , would be lovely at sunrise or sunset,, first time there so not super sure but for the runners and hikers, we went off track from the peak, near some spots to be careful on, car tracks through there but didnt find any single trail,, will need to go back and explore further

Excellent walk.... spiritual place... lots of flora and fauna, well worth a visit.

Love this place, the walk up to the tops a bit hard on the back when you've had a few surgeries but we'll with the view from the top.

On a clear day you can see for miles.

An interesting and historical area of the Gold Rush era. Good walking trails and trail bike tracks, with caution. There are shafts and mullock heaps overgrown as well as snakes in the National Park. Be sure to take your rubbish with you when you leave.

Nature at its best. When some people have it all but don’t realize until it is no more. Let’s keep our backyard away from harm. Back burning is a must for property owners.
The hidden gems out bush are just beautiful. Never take Australia 🇦🇺 for granted.

A very special place. Excellent open forest bushwalking, wonderful MTB tracks, great 4WD touring, magical rock formations, lovely swimming and camping. Stop in at Eldorado, check out the local makers there.

Many good MTB gravel bike ride options available in this National Park. Bike ride options available fromm Chiltern Information centre. Be aware that some lane turnoffs and paths are not marked or appear slightly different from map, care required to avoid wrong turns. If you have a bike and the weather is OK then this is a must do.

Beautiful place to drive to and then walk from the parking area. Wonderful views of Goulburn from the top of the stairs There is a great walking track as well if you have the time

A short, steep walk with stairs to amazing 360 degree views. Perfect for sunrise or sunset with nice rocky outcrops suitable for a picnic.

Awesome! I used to love bush walking in my younger yrs but now I'm more mobility restricted (unable to do my bushwalking) but it was much easier and so nice to access the viewing platform for the waterfall photos that I've shared. To hear the water and the birds and the smell of the bush. Like a welcome back for this Aussie gal 😍

I love the area. Peaceful & relaxing. Plenty of camp sites close to the creek. Wonderful native wildlife. The main road through is well maintained although is gravel.

Our favourite place ever around Wangaratta.

Perfect place for a picnic or overnight stop.

The mount Pilot national park has lots of dirt tracks with most of them being 4wd tracks. There are some 2wd tracks including the one in to mount Pilot summit however your car will still need some ground clearance.
Mount Pilot is a must see. Great views and awesome sunsets.
