What can I say, there aren't many words I can use to describe mark and his business. The experience and service was exceptional. Having spoken to numerous agents and feeling pressured and unsecure I knew I'd hit the jackpot when mark first picked up my call. He was easy going, down to earth, honest and upfront. Incompetent and indifferent property managers.
I had a rental property managed by Eildon real estate for a year and half in Eildon.

In late July I received a phone call from Darryl and he told me that the bathroom ceiling in my rental property was collapsing. I was obviously surprised to hear this and went around to inspect the bathroom later that day. What I found was the bathroom ceiling was soaked and had water droplets hanging from it and the entire room had black mold, the wet part of the ceiling was sagging by maybe 50 to 100mm, the attached photo is the condition that the bathroom got to before I was notified by Eildon real estate.

I was shocked and confused has to how the bathroom got to this state before I knew anything about this. I called Darryl after inspecting the property and when I asked him how it could have gotten this bad before being brought to my attention he replied “These things happen”, and insisted it is not unusual.

The damage to the ceiling was obviously caused by a leak somewhere in the roof. After returning to the property to make a plan of how to fix this I had time to speak with the tenants and they said they knew there was a serious problem as far back as February and had told Darryl that something needed to be done, they were very surprised to find out that I had only just found out there was an issue with the ceiling.

Darryl insisted that it is not his job to know if there are major issues with the house.

Either way after paying Eildon real estate to manage my property of over a year I was left with a badly damaged bathroom that needed urgent repairs and there is very little doubt in my mind that not having a property manager at all would have been a better option than using Darryl.

This problem could have been easily fixed if I knew earlier and it would have only involved replacing the roof and maybe some minor repairs to the bathroom, but thanks to massive incompetence and complete indifference to the damage caused to my property, I was left with extra repair costs and the tenants had to endure a moldy bathroom for months unnecessarily.

I couldn’t recommend them.
