Fortune Palace

There food is beyond fabulous. I drive 10kms from my home to get my chinese food from Fortune Palace. So wished they delivered or uber eats or menu log, but they dont. They are definately worth the drive. Never regret going there.

Fortuna Place is one of those deceptive restaurants that look a little shabby on the outside but produce absolutely outstanding food.
From the moment it opens at 5pm the phone is ringing with orders and people are walking in to eat in or get take away.
The food itself is beautifully cooked and I'm yet to find a dish that I don't like. In particular the honey chicken is a rare example of how to cook battered chicken without it being soaked in oil.
Prices are remarkably reasonable given the standard of the food and I thoroughly recommend anyone nearby giving it a try.

Have driven past this place for 20 years and never thought too much of it. Looks out dated and I wondered if it was even open!
Moved down the road recently and I noticed that it was always busy. So, a couple of weeks ago, we decided to try it. Very friendly staff, assuming it's family? We arrived early and got seated, with a plate of prawn crackers.
We ordered a special fried rice, Mongolian sizzling beef and a lemon duck. It came out fairly quickly, despite the line up of people who came to pick up takeaway. I was impressed with the standard of the food. Very good Western Chinese! I've never had lemon duck before and it's WAY better than the standard chicken. The rest of the meal was delicious. Special fried rice was packed with all it should have.
We also noticed that every single takeaway customer was greeted by name by the lady at front of house. A small conversation was held, asking about family ect. A very personalised service!! I now know why, despite looking like a Chinese restaurant stuck in the 80's, this place is busy. Excellent customer service is VERY hard to come by these days. They've won me over!!

I will happily drive past multiple other Chinese restaurants to get dinner from Fortune Palace!

The fact that most tables are full even on a Tuesday night says something! Let alone a Saturday...
The staff are typically absolutely lovely. The food - at least every dish we have - is always great. In particular the sizzling steak which, frankly, is to die for. We've had this dish maybe 15 or 20 times and mate, it almost melts in your mouth. Simply brilliant.
As to the ocassional hater out there, get your facts right before posting.

The best favour Chinese food, we travel from Dandenong to come and eat here.
We love Wendy the waitress, she always remembers all our names and even though she is busy she still does her job well.

Great service - have bought takeaway from here quite often. They are very obliging and their food is delicious and fresh. Very friendly and professional staff.

Was super busy for in house dining on a Tuesday, but the food was amazing, such great flavours, I highly recommend the chicken datay skewers & Mongolian beef sizzle pate.

Love their Cantonese fillet steak, satay chicken, fried rice, birds nests. Basic decor but who cares when the foods lovely.

My order was taken with a smile and bought to me very quickly. Back home in 10-12 minutes dinner was hot and very tasty with complimentary prawn crackers. Thank you, it was lovely as usual. Janette

Best Chinese food I’ve ever had, I want to rate this 10 stars, never ever disappointed. The lady who always serves is supremely nice and again the food is absolutely delicious. I’d go here every day if I could! Worth every cent and more.

This has been our go to Chinese restaurant for over a decade. No other restaurants in the area can compare. Dimsims are amazing.
Humble family run business, decor a bit outdated and service can be a little slow during busy times, but the food well and truely makes up for it.

We went to dinner on a Tuesday night, so it was naturally very quiet, but our experience was perfect. The waiter and waitress were both exceptionally friendly and got everything right, our meals tasted delicious (vegetarian fried rice and beef curry) and were served in under five minutes, and while we were there there were at least four people who came in to pick up take-away - so clearly they're very popular.

Would recommend them in a heartbeat - will definitely be returning!

Our favourite Chinese food place. We have been coming here for take away (occasional dine in) for many years and have never had a bad meal. The Cantonese beef is amazing. Lovely owners and staff always make you welcome

My work bestie and I dined here tonight. We ordered Mongolian beef and lemon chicken and it was so delicious. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Excellent service. Would come here again for Chinese food !
