The Birdcage Cafe Lismore

The most lovely cafe we visited around the great ocean road area. Delicious home cooked flavours that were both thoughtful and heartwarming. The beef pie has a rich, deep aroma, would definitely recommend. We enjoyed the soup so much we got a second bowl. The interior was a tasteful country style with unique antiques and furniture. To TOP it off we enjoyed the most lovely service from the couple who even offered us extra soup when they saw us enjoy it so much. A perfect and essential place to stop by on Long drives.

Great place to stop, the Curry Pie was served in a little box, with sauce and napkin, nice touch.
The pie was delicious-also bought a wrap stuffed with spinach, chicken and Avocado, and coffee.
Cost was a bit more than the average, but absolutely worth it-very highly recommend a visit, and will be a stop off en route to Warrnambool

Great little Cafe with delicious coffee. Our egg and bacon muffin came with a salad. Meal and large coffee only $10. Astounding!! Staff were very welcoming and the shop itself was very quaint. Well worth the drive.

Absolutely stunning, the service is top notch and the food is outstanding. I had an amazing coffee and toasted salami, cheese, tomato toasted sandwich. Quality food. Also got a book from 1904 that they had for sale. Will be back.

LOVE! Such a lovely stop on our road trip, yummy food and Delish coffee. Love the muffin and coffee special for $10. The place and staff were so cute, decorated nicely for Easter. 10/10

Must to stop place , very friendly staff which make a nice atmosphere but the food.... it is very appetizing, pleasing to our taste; absolutely delicious.
We had a beef pie and a chicken curry pie. Both pies were delicious, full of flavour, full of meat in one word ‘scrumptious’ shouting “eat me!”

Very small town and with a small and cosy cafe :) staff are amazing can get busy but worth the wait as the coffee was amazing

Dropped in on our way to the Great Ocean Road. This is a must stop cafe. The food is spot on, service is friendly and prices are right. I wish there were more places like this operating on the tourist trails, I tend to stop at the fast food places these days but wish there were more like The Bird Cage.

Great country cafe. Good food and the best pies. Nice atmosphere and decor. If you’re driving from Melbourne to Warrnambool or Port Fairy, it’s worth going via Lismore so you can stop at the Birdcage Cafe.

Definitely recommend! Staff were beyond lovely, food was delicious and cosy and comfortable interior. They went out of the way to make us comfortable and made up a special plate for my baby with food allergies.

After being away for a couple of years I was pleased to see the Birdcage has survived. Well no wonder - still serving up great food and coffee. Cannot get better value than a $10 bacon and egg muffin and coffee.

Wow... I ordered a toasted Ham Chesse n Tomato 🍅 Delicious.. I always have to add salt Not thus time. 🙏 Love the place very homey 🏡... If you are ever passing please stop. Won't be disappointed ☑🌞🌞🌞

Incredible staff! Let me crash on their couch for two hours after my car had broken down. Great food and great company. Can’t recommend their cafe enough!
