Hursty fish and chips

The best in town. The environment inside is clean and tidy, and the staff provide excellent and patient service. The food is delicious, especially their signature potato cakes, which are crispy on the outside and tender inside. The coating tastes completely different from other fish and chips shops I have tried, and most importantly, it is not oily at all, that led me to eat 3 pieces within 5 minutes:) They must have a secret recipe. The fish pieces are very fresh, with incredibly tender fish meat, and the coating has a rich flavor. It is on my regular list now:)

These guys do the best fish and chips. The flake is thick, non greasy and so delicious. Chips always have the perfect amount of crunch. Not overcooked crunchy. They're still soft and fluffy on the inside. We are not local but will drive here for our fish and chips. We have to park and eat in the car or they'll be cold before we get home, - that's how good they are.

Just discovered this local gem. You guys will never know how grateful we are to have somewhere decent to get fish and chips. Everything is outstanding. Thank you for your hard work and for cooking for us all. Ps Thanks for the kids fish option. It is just right for our toddler and makes life that bit easier!

Best fish and chips I've had in the area by far. Worth the drive from Doreen, diamond Creek no problem. Servings great value and not oily like most. Great job. Will be back. Sorry birds. None for you, it's too tasty.

Best fish and chips in the North East in my humble opinion! Having lived in multiple NE suburbs such as Macleod, Greensy, and Monty over the years, Hursty Fish and Chips honestly stands at the front of the pack! Generous servings, not too greasy, and perfect crunch for the chips and potato cakes. Fresh and delicious fish also! Would definitely recommend 👍

Claude and Joe were very hospitable and served the best fish n chips I’ve had in Melbourne in a very long time. Treated me like family and the servings were huge.
They do burgers and souvo’s as well.
Will come back here every week.

Sensational food and the owners are the nicest people you can meet

The food wasn't bad. It wasn't anything to lose your mind over, but it was nice and met expectations. It was cheap, and there was a good variety of options in both food and drinks, but the seller was that the staff were amazing and friendly, patient overall, and just generally great. Would give 4 stars if not for them.

Cold miserable day, what better than a burger and some fish and chips. Both were great, nice piece of flake, dim sim potato cake and chips for me, and for my friend, a hamburger with the lot, delicious. Great friendly service as well.

Best fish and chips around. The owners are absolutely beautiful and their homemade potato cakes and pineapple fritters are to die for. It is truely a take away gem.
