Tasmanian Whisky Selectors/ Bogan Road Distillery

This was an accidental discovery that was meant to be!
We were shown around by the lovely maker herself. Karen explained so many interesting things to do with each step of brewing- amazing!
The tastings we had were lovely too and sat beautifully where all the taste should.
Of course had to buy a thirty as well!

I will rate over 5 stars (if Google has this function) for the owner's hospitality, knowledge, and mamamiya! It is THE BEST WHISKY that I've tested this year! Glad I found this hidden gem on the way to Deloraine; definitely will visit it again.

We sent the owners Karin and Shane a message from the website and found that they were open then went out there for a tour of the site! WOW! Was an awesome experience and they were so lovely and explained everything as they showed us around! Definetly worth the visit. The tastings at the end were fantastic and the merchandise is even better!

What a great little find Karen is passionate about her whiskey and she gave us a lovely tour we had some tastings. We are excited for her future in the whisky business. Make sure you visit this little gem 💎.

Fantastic spot to stop - lovely covered picnic area or comfy couches inside - amazing knowledge of Tassie Whiskey. Doesn’t serve food or snacks, welcome to bring your own to nibble on while sipping on a Tassie Whiskey. Beautiful bush setting, away from congested destinations.

Put Bogan Road Distillery on your Tasmanian whiskey trail list right now! This terrific distillery is tucked away in the gorgeous surrounds of Quamby Brook, not far from Westbury and Deloraine. While they don't have standard 'cellar door' opening hours, just drop an email or call and set up a time to visit. We were met by the delightful distiller Karin (and her canine employee of the month) and given an insight into the distilling process and tour of their small(ish) but mighty facility. They cleverly barreled whiskey from other leading Tassie distillers under their Tasmanian Whiskey Selectors banner as they await the maturation of their own batches, which I am sure will be brilliant given Karin clearly knows her stuff! A tasting saw us purchase a couple of bottles of whiskey as well as their utterly fabulous ginger liqueur. Definitely one to visit if you're in the area.
