The Sawmill is a hidden gem of an Italian restaurant in leafy West Pymble that emphasises simple Italian flavours, serving wood-fired pizza, home-cooked pasta and more.

What we ordered:
BBQ Chicken Pizza
BBQ Pork Ribs
Prawn Linguine, &
Red Wine.

The BBQ chicken pizza was cooked to perfection in the traditional wood-fired oven with a delicious crispy crust and lovely smoky flavour.

The pork ribs were absolutely melt-in-your-mouth tender and you wouldn’t go wrong ordering the succulent prawn linguine either.

This restaurant is large with both outdoor and indoor seating areas all with a delightfully warm and inviting ambiance, and the service is friendly and efficient.

It is so lovely to have a good quality, Italian restaurant like this on the Upper North Shore and not have to trek to the other side of Sydney for Italian food.

I highly recommend The Sawmill Restaurant as a must visit Upper North Shore dining destination.

Friendly service, nice food, generally good atmosphere with the bar near the entrance. Unique since there are many structure made from timber, likely from the old sawmill days?
90deg Parking just outside or street parking is easy. Some outdoor seating available.
Pizza straight from woodfire oven, pasta also with plenty of sauces. Didn't find lobster in the marinara pizza even though it's listed on the menu. But wasn't expecting any at that price anyway.
Also has some mains,entree and desserts I didn't get to try. Will return.

Have been here twice now and is have had amazing food and great service each time. It’s tucked away in a residential area which makes it very lowkey and homey. Absolutely love it! Great pizzas and pastas!

Tonight was my second time back here. Last time was a cold raining winter night 2 months ago.

Their pizzas were the reason we came back tonight. Fresh dough SOOOOOO yummy that I could still taste the subtle saltiness. See the charc on the plate (and my fingers too) can tell their REAL pizza oven is real deal.

And of course the price....still good value IMO. One pizza was barbeque chicken (they normally have capsicum, just not this one as per our request) and the other one was sausage & potato. Both delicious 😋😋😋. The sausage was good quality - Yum! The bbq chicken tasted dry though. In fact I had the same bbq chicken pizza first time, so I can confirm it's consistent in quality. Hope their bbq chicken could be a bit more succulent and tender.

Service was prompt, professional and attentive. Also consistent.

Their menu already has good variety of options, and first visit also had Special Menu on the paper on the wall (not on wallpaper, they have a big paper roll hanging (by THE thing) on the wall. Want to know what's THE thing? Go and check it out! I still like to see some more pizza & pasta options on their menu.

I already contemplating my next return. Can't wait !!!

Returned tonight.
Also had their fries, called Parmesan Fries ($8). Had it before in July actually. Of course 😋😋😋😋😋

Went for an after work get together. Although a bit slow, we received pretty good service for our big group and it was a busy night. The food is good. We tried a few appetisers and some of the pizzas. The pizza base and crust are thin and delicious. The drinks were good too and they had quite a few to choose from (wine, hard drinks, cocktails, mocktails). Happy the straws are paper (thumbs up for being environmental!). Very satisfied with the food and drinks, and they are well priced. Parking is easy which is always a good bonus.

Really loved dining at this casual yet refined diner. Staff are very welcoming and professional. We enjoyed the passionfruit mojito (I'll get that next time) and lycee martini. The anti Pasto platter is huge... No need to get anything else for an entree. The prawns as a main are much bigger than they sound and are cooked perfectly. The procuitto pizza was just divine. I'll be back for that pizza. Highly recommend this place.

Quaintly tucked away. Great suburban atmosphere. Stylish interior. Good service. Very good food! The Eggs Bolognese was delicious. The coffee was superb. Great that they have a voucher in the entertainment book too!

Pizza dough dry, hard, solid, seems the chef forgot yeast?
Garlic prawn pizza almost got no cheese, taste bland.
First time trial, may give another go to see if last night was one off, yet still......

Went to The Sawmill tonight, ordered same pizza take away, total satisfaction! Thank you Farouk, we will return.

I very rarely give five stars but this place deserves it. Friendly helpful fun staff. Food was fast and very fresh and extremely tasty. Their pizzas are perfect for sharing. They looked after our fussy eater as well. We will be back.

Excellent quality food. Ordered the Pumpkin Ravioli, Clam Pasta, and Spaghetti Bolognaise with the Vege Delight Pizza. Blown away by how good it all was. Portions are medium size, so you will need entrees, however given the quality of the food, it is worth it.

Fantastic food & value for money. For example we ordered food for 4 hungry adults.
4 deep-fried rice balls
Nice salad 🥗
3 Pizzas 🍕
Large crispy chips
2 coke Zero
1 sparkling water 💦
We were unable to finish the food.
The left overs was 4 pizza slices & chips. Which feeds 3 of my nephew's.
We only paid $129🤑👍.

Wow!!…….. Totally it is a place to go with your partner, family, kids or friends, Excellent fresh and delicious food. Friendly and amazing service, great atmosphere.

Absolutely love the food here! We had a great breakfast + coffee - can't believe this gem is so hidden away that I've only discovered it recently - I've definitely been missing out!

The food is always amazing, have never had a problem. I get actual craving for this food at least once a week I need to make a visit. The atmosphere her a blast, especially on a Saturday night.

I have the fussiest Italian mother when it comes to dinning out! We travel from liverpool to west pymble to dine here! Best zippoli Eva (better than my mums) don’t tell her! Eggplant lasagne amazing if you need vegetarian option. Service great and value for money. Love going to eat here!

Such a great local restaurant! We stumbled across it after recently moving tot he area and we love it. We've been back several times since. Good food, good value, great service!

Food was amazing. The entree, main and dessert were all delicious and really fresh tasting. Enjoyed our meal so much, will definitely be back!

We love the Pizzas, and our son is always a fan of the spaghetti bolognaise. We love it and keep going back.

The food was amazing and plenty of it. We had so much we took it home for lunch the next day.
