My friend and I loved our stay in the tiny house! It was gorgeous and had a well stocked kitchen, even a dishwasher! We loved the birds and animals. The owner was really friendly and helpful. My friend had a massage on the balcony which she thoroughly enjoyed. Just a tip- use salt for the leeches if you get any whilst walking the bush tracks. I’d recommend enclosed shoes. We went at the end of wet season (end March) so maybe there are more then.

What an absolutely beautiful and breathtaking place. Everything was wonderful, but my husband and I particularly loved the sounds of the rainforest, breathing the fresh clean air and hand feeding so many varieties of birds on our balcony. Feeding the possum family on our balcony was a highlight for me.

We stayed in the tiny home and had an incredible time. We loved eating our breakfast each morning on the deck with the birds. The room was immaculate and very comfortable and the host was very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Peaceful and surrounded by nature!
Our 3 nights here were such a treat!
Gorgeous cosy cottages with wood fires overlooking the rainforest stream with wildlife all around - we saw multiple tree kangaroos (including a mother and baby !!!) multiple platypus, so many birds and pademelons. The forest is magical and peaceful and honesty the phone detox (no reception in the huts) was a bonus treat!
Kids absolutely revealed in our beautiful surroundings and were so sad to leave.

What a special place to stay! Arriving to the property, we drove though many kilometers of cleared cow pastures. This had me wondering what we would find upon arrival. When we made it to the property, we were happily surprised. This is a truly amazing piece of forest that has been saved from logging, and that alone makes it worth visiting. The rooms were private and quiet, with beautiful views and amazing wildlife. During our short (2-night) stay, we saw many bush turkeys, coppery brushtail possums, pademelons, and most importantly, a platypus. I am not sure if we saw the same platypus, but we had three sightings during our stay. Traveling to the northern platypus pool, we were able to see it at dawn and at dusk. What was even more surprising, was to see a platypus swim in front of our cabin while we were having a late lunch. To be honest, we booked here just because we wanted higher odds of seeing a platypus, but found it to be so much more. My wife absolutely loved the pademelons and the bird life. I am an amateur wildlife photographer and had no shortage of opportunities for amazing shots. The owner was very friendly and made us feel welcome. I would definitely recommend visiting!

One thing to mention, if you are the type who likes sterile, luxury resorts where the staff avery their eyes when passing by, then this is not the place for you. This place is wild and you will be up close with the wildlife, the forest leeches, and snakes. To me, this place was paradise and should not be missed.

We had the most incredible time here. The rooms were beautiful and clean, with great cookware and comfy beds and couches. Loved the fire place. But the most incredible thing was the nature immersion. We saw platypus, pademelons, cassowaries and a baby, so many turtles and incredibly birds. The kids had an absolute ball and we can’t wait to go back. The owners were so lovely and Nature took us on an incredible night time rainforest walk. Best stay ever! Thank you

Just spent a wonderful long weekend here for my birthday and wow what a perfect place to unwind and de stress. Personally greeted by Daniel on arrival and made to feel very welcome. The treehouse was perfectly clean, even the windows were spotless. Well equipped and very comfortable. Big king beds, leather lounges, big spa and everything needed to just kick back and chill. We loved having the wildlife visit us on the deck and watching turtles, platypus, pademelons, wallabies, so many birds and our first ever cassowary in the wild! Fantastic view of the Ithaca River from the deck. Another highlight was the wonderful massage on the deck and the rain coming gently through the trees. No wifi or mobile signal in the treehouse was great too as it helps to be disconnected from technology and embrace the nature around. Such an amazing experience and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you Daniel.

Had an amazing time staying here, it was bliss to get away from the city and our technology and reconnect with nature. Its a beautiful treehouse (we stayed in platypus) and had the most amazing time relaxing in the heart of the rainforest. Daniel was super knowledgeable and did a great job setting ip for our mini moon with some lovely local products in hamper - definitely recommend this romance pack add-on if you’re staying for an anniversary or celebration. Great location in easy reach of the nearby attractions waterfalls etc. we even saw two cassowaries and a baby cassowary chick on arrival which was amazing! Highly recommend!

My partner and I recently stayed in one of the gorgeous treehouses for our anniversary, and everything about it was incredible. We create such special memories while staying here - it was a very unique experience. We spotted lots of wildlife - many of the animals coming up to the treehouse, including a pademelon with a baby in its pouch, some beautiful birds, possums and others. We loved going to the lake and seeing the turtles. Each morning we woke up to the sound of the birds chattering. The most special memory was going an a walk at night around our treehouse (with the torch and map provided to us at check in), and stumbling across a group of beautiful glowing fireflies... We couldn't believe it, I honestly thought I was dreaming (apparently they only glow for a brief time each year).
The treehouse itself was beautiful! We love the wooden aesthetic, the privacy, and no regular traffic noises - just the sounds of the rainforest. We loved using the spa bath. The windows were all large, and you could see all of the beautiful green trees as you woke up. It was actually quite therapeutic to have minimal reception while in our treehouse - at one point we were wondering what certain animals were, and we were only able to look in a book found in the treehouse instead of searching Google! It was also nostalgic to pick some DVDs from reception and use a DVD player again rather than the usual Netflix.
The staff were also really friendly and welcoming up at reception, and you can tell they are passionate about what they do. The only issue we had is that we didn't want to leave!! I would recommend staying at LEAST 3 or 4 nights.

My partner and I are definitely hoping to return one day to this beautiful little sanctuary, and we will never forget our recent stay <3 Thanks so much guys!

Absolutely brilliant. Abundant wildlife, handfed the animals.
The staff could not be anymore accommodating.
Literally in and part of the rainforest.
Get the massage.

The most beautiful wildlife at our door, on our balcony and in the river in front of our cabin. If you are an animal or bird lover this is the place for you. The cabins are set high amongst the rainforest, so peaceful and very well appointed. Highly recommended.

I loved this place!
The loation makes it really special and how untouched nature is around the property. You need to know it is a self-sustained house, so go grocery shopping on your way there and plan to cook and hang out at the treehouses. Hanging ouy thre IS the experience. You will see all sorts of wildlife just from your deck or the designated and well labled walks on the property. This is not a hotel where people clean your room every day and there is an ajacent restaurant where you go for breakfast. It is easy to get into town and have dinner, but it a lot more fun to stay on the property, make food and go for a walk after it gets dark to see the glowing fungi on the trees or even a tree kangaroo!
Everything was safe and clean and when I dropped my ear ring in the sink, a handyman appeared within 10 minutes to rescue it for me! The staff is friendly and super helpful and everyone wants you to have a great time, but they leave you alone for most of the time so you can explore and enjoy nature! - Really fantastic place!

Loved our stay here. The location was great, set amongst the rainforest and close to other attractions. Seeing platypus and cassowary's around the place was great. Very relaxing getaway including a massage on the balcony. Would definitely recommend to others.

Howdy. I stayed mid November 2023 in the tiny house. Great location. Friendly service. Well-equipped accommodation. And because of the absence of Wi-Fi, actually managed to finish the book which sat on the bedside table for the past month. What more could one ask for?

Wonderful stay with my family visiting Australia for the first time.
We arrived at night, Daniel was kind enough to wait for us for our late check in.
What a beautiful surprise to wake up with the sound of the birds, and see outside the cabin, spot tree kangaroos just outside, pademelons, platypus in the river and the two locals cassowaries who came around the house a few times.
The location is great to explore the Atherton Tablelands, with walks, waterfalls, fig trees... nearby.
Would recommend to anyone who wants to unwind and cut themselves from the rest of the world in a peaceful place.

The whole experience was as I thought it would be, a beautiful setting in amongst an amazing rainforest, quiet and full of a great variety of birds and animals. The walking trails were all around and once in your own treehouse it seemed a world away from everyone. Dan was friendly, informative and helpful and we would stay there again for sure. We loved the whole Tableland, full of history, interesting towns and activities.

We stayed at the Bower house with family and it was the most memorable experience of our trip at the table lands.
We had birds visiting us in the morning and Wallabies at night.
It is amazing waking up in the rainforest.
We will return.

Our stay was beyond our expectations. The treehouse was so spacious, absolutely beautiful & had beautiful little thoughtful touches for our stay throughout. Hosts were lovely & very accommodating. We loved all the beautiful wildlife that came to visit, we had daily Cassowary visits, many beautiful birds coming for a feed throughout the day, abundance of turtles & even a platypus in the creek below, little pademelons visited, nightly possum visit and also saw tree kangaroos in the trees. These were all seen from our balcony. Lovely mapped walks to do also. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Our son & we agreed it was the highlight of our trip to Cairns. We LOVED our stay there & hope to return one day.

This place was incredible!
The house we stayed in was very private. Located in the rainforest next to a flowing stream full of turtles and fish. We also saw a platypus in the stream just a short walk from our house at the platypus location marked on the map by reception. We also had beautiful rainforest birds and possums visit our balcony.
The accommodation itself was flawless. Very roomy, comfortable, clean, equipped kitchen, washing machine, etc.
The owners were very kind, informative, and helpful.
They were also very accommodating with our late night check in, because out arrival travel ran late.
I am recommending this place to everyone, and will definitely return next time we go to the tablelands!
