Ruth Whitfield Park

Nice park in Kallangur, has some bmx jumps down the bottom, they're a bit crumbly and not well looked after but good for the kids. Plenty of parking, picnic tables and open grass area. Has a replica submarine to look at, plus some war memorial stuff, definitely worth a visit.

This is a good little park if you want somewhere quiet to relax. I sometimes grab something to eat from the shops in Kallangur and eat it here. Play equipment is available for children but no toilets. The mosquitos get viscous during summer if its been wet.

Situated on an old part of the Bruce Highway, this park is a nice spot to stop in for a picnic or barbecue and learn a little history about one of Australia's first submarines. Unfortunately there are no toilets. For local kids, there is a dirt box/jump track at the bottom end of the park. A small Creek runs through the middle of the park with some remnant rainforest.
