Sailors Bay Walking Track

Beautiful walking track with lot's of variety. Wear suitable shoes as slippery and uneven in parts, stairs with few handrails. Would love to return after heavy rain to see the waterfalls really pumping!

Fantastic little spot. The kids loved it. You can either take the easier walk out to the waterfall or take the loop which is a bit more challenging (quite a lot of stone stairs). It feels a world away from civilisation but only a stones throw from the city. Highly recommended.

Amazing trail in the middle of the city.

A hidden treasure just 10 minutes drive from North Sydney. The walk takes about an hour at a leisurely pace. A small waterfall is a great treat. The walk opens up to the bay watch is a great spot for a picnic and photography.

You don't need to go the the national parks to get the bush life. This is a nice little bush area to escape from the stressful city life and it's only 20 mins from Sydney. Nice gully and waterfall

Interesting and hidden away track in the suburbs

A real hidden gem in the heart of suburban North Sydney. The track runs alongside a creek towards Sailors Bay, through woodland dappled with sunlight. It's a little steep in places but there are chunky stone steps that look like they've come from the set of 'Lord of the Rings'. When you're on the path it's hard to believe you're only a few minutes from Sydney City Centre or the shopping mecca of Chatswood. You can walk right along the path to Sailors Bay itself, or take a left fork and climb up the hill to The Redoubt in Castlecrag, and walk back to the shops at Edinburgh Rd where you can find some excellent cafes and restaurants.

This is one of my favourite walks, always a waterfall to sit and ponder and you can make it as long a walk as you want many tracks to keep going on, although getting to them can be a bit tricky in one part.

Lovely walk. Steep steps at beginning. Good shade and filtered light, lots of ferns and very green. Saw a lyre bird and heard lots of kookaburras.

Beautiful walk in the back of lane cove. Bit muddy in places. Water flowing lots! My dog and I loved it.

A great place to walk your dog as long as you abide by the rules.apserlutly beautiful.
