Drum Lessons with Wayne Katz

I have been attending lessons with Wayne for some time now, and would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in beginning or progressing on their drumming career. Wayne is a very experienced teacher, and always provides me with fun and challenging material to work on. He has helped me to greatly improve my technique, and is always able to offer great advice on all areas of drumming.

I've been learning drums from Wayne for a little while now and I think he is a great person, a brilliant drummer and an amazing teacher.

Wayne has helped my drumming improve in leaps and bounds in a short amount of time. He is really good at explaining things in different ways to help my brain understand.

He is also great at understanding what I want to achieve with my drumming and how to get me there.

I am sad to see Wayne move interstate and that is the only reason I would be discontinuing my lessons with him.

I've been Wayne's student for about 6 months, I've found that he's not only a sweet drummer, but he's obviously taught a lot of students and used those experiences to refine his teaching. He's got the steps of the process worked out and has the resources to back up each part so you get very focused and high quality lessons.

He's also taught me a lot about preforming, particularly not to be tentative, with important remarks like "You Are the Drummer, you are Laying Down the Groove!" A great all-round teacher.

Wayne is an excellent teacher. I've had other teachers in Brisbane but Wayne has given me the most useful feedback. He is very enthusiastic about the drums and has a lot of knowledge about the drums. Highly recommended.

Even if you are a complete beginner like myself, I highly recommend lessons with Wayne as he really takes the time to get to know how his students work and what suits them as individual learners. I have always enjoyed coming to each lesson as Wayne constantly provides a fun, relaxed and engaging atmosphere to be creative in!

I have been taking drum kit lessons from wayne for a few months now and highly recommend him as a teacher. We are working on my coordination, technique and how to approach creating my own music. His lessons have a positive atmosphere as he is a friendly and approachable guy, would definitely recommend him!
