As a veteran it's always awesome to see a beautiful memorial to those who have fallen in past wars. I highly recommend you swing by their and honor the fallen. The park is beautifully kept and the river side view makes it a treat to stroll through!

With so much tourism focus on big cities, it is hard to get allured to the beauty of coastal towns of Australia. 500 kms from Sydney, Grafton is a must break stop if driving to Brisbane from Sydney. Grafton retains its Victorian Architecture and is a great farming region.

The Memorial Park is a great location to visit the War Memorial and the garden is well manicured and a great spot to relax and watch the coastal river. The hotel across the road is very close for you to get a drink or get a bite.

The best park with a 180 degrees view of the Clarence River. A little spot down the bottom for a dip if you want to escape the summer heat.

Did the Anzac dawn service this year. Great spot for a memorial park overlooking the river.
Pub next door too for arvo bevies on the river.

Great place for a walk, run or a picnic or quiet contemplation on the raised Riverfront. Public conveniences are also available.
