Managed to score a couple of last minute spots and some great weather for a fantastic day out fishing. Boat is immaculate, lovely crew, more than enough snacks and drinks for everyone, and plenty of fish caught at all the marks. Would recommend the offered filleting service as it was the last thing I felt like doing after a big day fishing. Thanks for making such a memorable trip for my son and I!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a fantastic day out with Reef Fishing 1770 Charters, and I must say it was an unforgettable adventure from start to finish.

From the very beginning, the communication with the team was top-notch. They kept us updated on the schedule and potential weather impacts, ensuring that we were well-informed and prepared for the day ahead.

Upon arrival at the marina, Brent, our skipper, warmly welcomed us and took the time to walk us through his expectations for the day. His thorough explanation of the planned activities instilled a sense of confidence and excitement in the group.

One of the things that really stood out was the fact that we didn't need to worry about bringing any gear, as the charter provided the best Shimano gear available. This made the experience hassle-free and allowed us to focus on enjoying the fishing trip to the fullest.

The boat itself was spacious and comfortably accommodated our group of seven, along with the skipper and deckhand. With plenty of room to move around, we never felt crowded, and the crew made sure that we were well taken care of throughout the day.

The level of service was truly exceptional. The skipper and deckhand were incredibly attentive, promptly assisting with baiting, gear changes, and handling the catch. Their efficiency meant that we could fully immerse ourselves in the fishing experience without any distractions.

Speaking of the fishing, it was nothing short of incredible. Once the anchor was down, the action was non-stop. The pace was fast and furious, and we found ourselves reeling in fish after fish. It was an exhilarating experience that left us feeling accomplished and thrilled.

To top it all off, the charter provided a great spread for us to enjoy, ensuring that we had a satisfying meal and plenty of drinks to complement the day's adventures.

Overall, our day with Reef Fishing 1770 Charters was beyond enjoyable, and it's safe to say that we'll be returning for more in the future. If you're looking for an outstanding fishing experience with a dedicated and friendly crew, this charter comes highly recommended.

Absolutely 5 star experience. We booked as a group of 4 (mostly amateur fishers) and loved the experience with the two boys and others on the boat. One of the boys was always there to help us reel in a fish, bait our line, and offer drinks & snacks. Great attitude and really informative - highly recommend and can’t wait to book again. A big shout out to Reef Fishing Charters 1770, this was my first fishing charter with my 11 year old son and my brother in laws tenth with his partner and it was absolutely awesome right from the get go. Attention to detail in making everyone feel so welcome and never giving in to catch that perfect fish. My brother in law is telling me of the ten fishing trips he has been on this was simply the best one yet. I would also like to say thanks especially to Tarnae and his dad (Brent) with never giving up trying to help my son land a decent fish, and did, coming from a dad it made it so much more special. Also cannot forget to thank the wonderful wife that prepared the food for the entire day.

Had a great day out with 1770 Reef Fishing Charters! The weather was pretty rough in the morning but turned into a very good day. Brent and his son Tarnae took care of everything. Hospitality and service was above what you’d expect by a mile. Would definitely recommend this family owned and operated fishing charter. Will be returning in the future that’s for sure

Had my first dive at the Fairfax Wall on the southern Great Barrier Reef and it was absolutely stunning. The trip out to the reef on Southern Comfort was really smooth and the crew were very helpful, heaps of good food and plenty of drinks. As soon as we got into the water we encountered incredible diversity, an abundance of marine life including moray eels, turtles, dolphins, large reef fish and small reef sharks as well as beautiful coral formations.
Highly recommend this to anyone thinking about coming to 1770 to go diving at the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Thank you very much to reef fish and dive 1770 for a great day.

Great trip, heaps of dolphins on the way. Fishing was good caught a big one, amongst many others. All on board caught fish. Skipper and deckhand very good. Recommend to all. Great for inexperienced also. Reasonable price.

Thanks Tane and John for an excellent fishing experience that I was able to share with my 16 year old son. Tane and John looked after everyone and moved the boat when necessary to where we could find fishing action. I recommend Reef Fishing Charters if you are looking for a professionally run day fishing trip out of 1770.

My mate and I had a really great time recently with skipper Tane and deckhand John. They were so helpful and understanding towards the customers onboard, and always kept their cool, right beside you when you wound up to re-bait your hook, or if you needed a new rig. There was no bossing you around telling you how to do it, unless people were struggling. A really relaxed approach from these blokes.

We got a good haul of fish and if the sharks arrived Tane was quick to move to a new mark.

A great way to enjoy the afternoon/evening. Friendly hosts who make you feel welcome on board, the immaculate new Noosacat, with beautiful quiet 4 stroke engines. Children also enjoyed the experience and everyone is now planning for a day trip on the reef. Thanks for such a wonderful time.
