Beautiful 10-15 minute round trip walk from the car park. Small coastal path through the trees, with a couple of steps from the other lookout, and a gravel marked path to the lookout. There’s an unmarked path beyond the lookout, but steep and exposed cliff edges on either side, and not recommended. Quite a few no dog sign’s unfortunately.

We visited on Tues 21 May 2024.
Seventeen Seventy is past Agnes Water.
1770 is where Captain Cook landed, this is the date of the landing. 1770 is an interesting place, we drove through, viewing the high-end holiday homes and dense vegetation.
We walked to the lookout point - spectacular.
Yes, definitely recommended.

Plenty of parking spaces that give easy access to new walking paths around the lookout.
Historic anchor and plaques will satisfy the history buffs.
Nice beaches and beautiful sea views all around the lookout.

Take the walk from the parking area heading towards the point.
Its a nice easy paved path, took us about 10 minutes.
There will be a fork where you choose to go right to Wave Lookout or left towards Bustard Bay. You can do them both as they connect with a set of stairs as well.
The walk takes in beautiful water views and has a boardwalk platform at the end with a series of long bench seats to sit on.
I did see some people venturing past the railing but we stayed where the kids were safe. :)
Beautiful breezy walk.

Awesome 1.2 k easy walk 10 min for jaw dropping views any time of day including splendid sunsets.
Take in the changing colours of mountainous cliffs and seas below reflecting the blue skies above and seasonal native flowering ground covers and trees.
So worth soaking up during a quiet walk so as to appreciate all.

The bushwalk trail to the lookout, if you don't use the road, is a Grade 3. The lookout itself is very easy to walk to from the closer car park.
Wonderful views and always a great to look out upon such a historic landmark.

The view from the top is magnificent, a few different lookout and we did spot the Whales from the main platform.

A wonderous lookout with great views, and a nice place to visit for a sunset. The actual lookout is only a short 1.2km walk from the carpark, which also has a good fishing spot if you take a slight detour down the trail.

The views are spectacular, the walk to the lookout was steep in short sections. Easy walk if you take your time for those less fit

Some great little walks can be had and saw some fisherman who said they had a mint day with catching fish. Beautiful views and stunning clear water.
