The Mint Asian - Noodle & Rice

Nestled at a corner of a street, Mint Asian is a hidden gem offering delightful Asian cuisine, with a focus on Singaporean dishes and a few Thai dishes.

At first glance, the restaurant's empty and seemingly "old" appearance may raise some skepticism. As a Singaporean myself, I was curious about the authenticity of their flavours. However, my doubts were quickly dispelled.

I decided to try a variety of dishes, including the Egg Fried Rice, Prawn Fried Rice, Kway Tuay, Laksa, and Springroll. To my pleasant surprise, each dish exceeded my expectations.

Their fried rice at A$13 (Australia) vs A$6 (Singapore) is at a 110% increment! While much pricier compared to Singapore, the slightly portion sizes were generous, still making it worth it.

In our group's opinion, the Prawn Fried Rice outshined the Egg Fried Rice. The former was more flavourful with wok hey taste, while the latter lacked ingredients and leaned towards being slightly dry.

The Laksa, a traditional Singaporean dish, turned out to be surprisingly good. In fact, I dare say that the broth tasted even better than some of the laksa you find in nearby neighborhoods back in Singapore.

Among the dishes I ordered, the Kway Teow stood out as the tastiest. Its flavors were well-balanced, leaving a lasting impression.

The Springroll also deserves mention for its commendable quality.

While the service may not be top-notch, the staff is friendly enough, adding to the overall dining experience.

To sum it up, if you're craving Singaporean food or looking to savor a taste of Singapore in Perth, Mint Asian is one of the few places you should definitely visit. Its delectable dishes, despite being much pricier than in Singapore, will leave you satisfied and give you a good taste of Singapore food.

Foods are fantastic with ‘wok hei’. The super cook is fast to handle all the individual orders. The lady boss is super friendly and we dined many times there. Tried many foods and just liked them so much.

passing by and just curious, so i go in and order noodle.. it turns out to be very yummy! and it's a big portion! I couldn't finish my singapore mifun in one go and take away half of it home. The auntie said, "Fried it again tomorrow with 2 eggs. "... guess what? it tasted beautiful! will come back to try another menu

We ordered the Tom Yum Noodle soup and Sweet & Sour Pork Rice, both taste so good. Is a great place to dine if you miss authentic Chinese food. I gave my complement to the Chef. You do not need to dine at a top notch Chinese Restaurant with nice ambience and pay exorbitant price. This restaurant provides you good service, great food at a very reasonable price.

Friendly staff. Well served portions, good taste and fair price (~$15 per dish). Several options at the menu including chicken, pork, vegetables, eggs, nuddles or rice as base.
I usually go there for lunch, they have tables inside so you can enjoy your meal.

Can’t find a better place nearby. Tried all the dishes already, and I love all of them. Food is authentic, and can’t be better. Nice service, and perfect for takeaways.

Love this place. Had my 1st meal in Perth here as it is near to my accommodation. Ordered Curry Chicken Laksa and Tom Yum Mei Fun. Super delicious and very close to Malaysian food. The lady here is also super friendly. Knowing that it's our first time here, she gave me and my partner plenty of tips and travel recommendations.

Best food we had so far in Perth. Authentic Asian food and didn't have to wait long. Price is reasonable.

Nice restaurant with lots of Asian food options . The portions are good too and the prices relatively moderate than what we would have to pay at an upmarket Chinese/Asian restaurant. Tried the Nasi Goreng, veg samosas and noodles. All of them were tasty and good. Would definitely visit it more often.

Very nice Asian food served. Staff is friendly too. I asked for something which is not in the menu but staff was able to whip it up and it was delicious too. Very recommended for people who loves Asian food

Generous serving and authentic flavour. Price is very reasonable. The fried Mee Hoon has the char smell when served on the table it reminds me of eating hawker’s food in Asia. We went there on a Friday night and surprisingly there were plenty of parking on Hill St. Will go back to try more dishes.

Had dinner last night 19th July, and it was so enjoyable that we went back today for lunch and had Laska with spring rolls. So nice to receive a delicious hot fresh lunch and the ladies were ever so friendly. Thank you so much. Recommended to anyone.

We ordered two vermicelli soup of different flavours. It was well prepared with meet and various vegetables.

Our absolute favourite Asian restaurant!! My kids love it. Our favourite dishes: beef Char Kwa Tao, beef on black bean sauce, Pho and Tom Yum, gai larn with oyster sauce, soooooo delicious but also so many other things to choose from. A Mum and Dad operation with Dad cooking and Mum fronting the restaurant. Respect.
