Telegherry Campground

Beautiful location, we went for some 'spiritual maintenance' so it was nice having no phone reception. You can apparently find it in some spots, but we weren't looking. We camped at Currawong, (there are 3 other campgrounds within 5kms). Currawong was nice and quiet besides the kookaburra choir each morning! The kookaburras were fabulous and fun to watch. There were plenty of other birds including rosellas and Australian robins. We had goannas for neighbours and even saw fireflies. The neighbouring campers were at a good distance apart and very friendly and helpful. Swimming in the river was divine! Pit toilets were convenient, obviously nothing fancy but actually tidy. A hidden gem, will go there again.

Such a beautiful quiet campground, clear access tracks to the river a short distance from the sites. Lots of kookaburras and currawongs, lots more wildlife here too. No rubbish in sight, plenty of bins

Great place, and will stay a great place if people respect the area. We spent the weekend repairing the damage done by people who clearly have no respect for public assets.

We keep coming back, it's our favourite camping spot.

Great spot to camp, really well maintained long drop environmentaly friendly toilets when we stayed there was even toilet paper available.
Roads around campground also well maintained.
Lots of flat space to camp & be able to spread out & enjoy without being on top of the other camping around you.
Downside if you're wanting phone reception you won't get it there, you need to head back up road for that.

It was beautiful and so peaceful. We will definitely be going back. I have so many gorgeous pictures. There is also many other spots close by to check out and swimming spots. Loved seeing the old logging tractors.

On a different note, the outdoor toilet there opposite the picnic area was the cleanest I have ever used. I was expecting the worst so that was a nice surprise.

Beautiful place with trees and river good for a paddle. Large area for lots of campers, but busy in peak periods. Pit toilet available which is non smelly. Bins on site. Lots of off road drives around the camp ground. Can have a fire. Only 30mins or so back to Dungog for supplies and the bakery.

This is a really nice place for camping. Right on the river, which usually has flowing water, fairly level ground and a pit toilet.

My family has been going here for yonks! I got my first leech here and I found yabbies! It's a great cramping ground!!
