Mount Bogong Lookout

Easy to access lookout on a flat wide road with area to pull over. No winding hilly roads.

Such beautiful view out across the valley to Mount Bogong set against a very blue sky. Plenty of room and with an information board.

Really enjoyed pulling over and checking out the scenery. Took a few photos here too.

After a long drive of over 3 hours , through thick fog and a little rain I was just wanting to stare at something different, than just the road in front of me .As I criused up the Kiewa Highway just passed Tawonga the world opened up for me, a break in the fog and there in front of me was the Mount Bogong lookout and the beautiful Kiewa Valley. Watching over this magnificent Valley was the majestic Mt Bogong . My spirits lifted as I parked the car and sat and took in this magnificent marvel of nature. If you are heading towards Mount Beauty I would truly recommend a stop at the Mount Bogong Lookout, it will definately make your day.

Winter! Mt Bogong spur is covered with snow. Exciting. We viewed it as drove up the valley. Also Falls Creek Northside. Lovely drive thru fog banks and then bursting into sunshine. Great valley.
