Sekai Japanese Ramen Cuisine

On a trip to the market - the Sekai Japanese ramen looked a good choice. It was delicious - very tasty and big portion. So today I went there again and I was not disappointed. It is just a shame that after next week, Sekai Japanese Ramen won't be there. The market is going to be pulled down. I hope that the Sekai Japanese ramen is at another location. Thank you!

This was the best Ramen I have ever had!! Extremely tasty, very large portion, I took half home. It was the perfect balance of tasty soup with noodles and generous proportions of seafood. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind and helpful.
As far as atmosphere - it's in the footscray market food court; which is pleasant. But the quality of food is classy restaurant. Such good value for money!!! I have my lunch and a little snack for dinner for $16 !

*THE* best gyu tan don in Melbourne, hands down. Someone prove me wrong. The chef has been here for decades and his consistency, amazing flaming wok skills, and simple marinade makes the dish.

Gyu tan don (grilled ox tongue on rice bowl) here is amazingly good. I've been to this restaurant many times over the years, brought many friends over and have always been pleased. Experienced consistency and quality. Family style, in the Footscray market building serves well for a tasty lunch or an informal dinner.

The food was sooo good !!! It was very affordable but good value. The egg noodles stir fry was amazing , and the ebi yasai kakiyage was the best. Definitely coming back.

Food was amazing alongside service and even though I came to collect my order late they were still understanding

I have always loved this place! The meat is always so succulent and the rice is sticky and delicious. I order the Curry Beef Don (47) every time and, even though I can't handle chilli, it always surpasses my expectations. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

A lot of the bad reviews focus on the smell of the market but this is a prime location and you have to take the good with the bad. Plus, it's not THAT overpowering!

I will always come back to Sekai for the lovely service and yummy food.

One of My favorite Restaurant. Me and My family are always eating here for almost 3 years now although it's far from my place , but that,s fine. I Love real and Nice food. I suggest the Beef Curry and Spicy Chicken are the best😍😍

Hands down a fav with our family ...🍽 every dish is yum affordable and food comes out freshly cooked ... love sitting in the tiny restaurant.. very footscray .. love it 🥰🥰

Amazing food. Food quality doesn't get any worse every visit. I highly recommend Ox Tongue which is the first item on the menu. The food really fills you when you finish the whole bowl.

Love this place, consistently delicious Japanese food. The unagi don and curry chicken don are our favourites. I come here at least once a week

I frequent this restaurant! They serve amazing Japanese food that tastes fresh and homemade. From ramen to dumplings to rice dishes. Everything is of decent size and reasonably priced. Friendly chef and waiters. Check it out!
